They're still different people, with their own opinions.
All sound the same to me....****e. Give me one of those 'gooooooooaaaaal' foreign chappies that i can't understand any day....it's all the same where sky are concerned.
Well it's easy to say 'they are all the same', because we hate sky, blah blah blah.
But when the insanity ends, the fact is they're different people to the ones who commentated on Sunday.
Yeah said that already...but they all have the same organisation and bosses to please though eh...but yeah, so you don't remind me again...different people i know.
A bit of context to the altered flag...from the man who's flag it is no less...Paul G on RAWK
I'm surprised this thread is still going. The success has many fathers flag is mine. I was unhappy with it being manipulated, still am. Managed to watch the footage (can't put it on youtube anyway, would be breaking copyright even if I knew how to) and they show my banner unaltered at the start of it, sequence of famous managers, trophies etc then cut to the two edited banners afterwards. There is nothing to go against there. Should Sky have done it without the courtesy of informing the banner owners, no they shouldn't. Sky is the epitomy of the modern game, but we should just concentrate on being us and doing what we do best. We can let people know the truths along the way, everything else just gives Sky the attention they crave.
So they showed his banner, unaltered, at the start of a montage...then showed those 4 famous managers winning trophies galore...then showed the altered flag at the end.
So in context, it ain't the heinous crime it was made out to be. A bit naff by Sky, one of there gimmicks and they should have asked the lad first, but it seems they were merely speculating that could Roy be the next manager to go on the flag...???
Sky Sports has been forced to explain its actions in superimposing an image of Roy Hodgson, right, on an iconic banner featuring the silhouettes of Bill Shankly, Bob Paisley, Kenny Dalglish and Rafael BenÃtez.
There were complaints from fans who considered the addition of the former Fulham manager to that company to have been disrespectful to the terrace artist behind the "Success has many fathers" banner and to its subjects.
But Sky emailed complainants in an effort to make clear that the feature that included the image was intended as a tribute to the club's great history.
Sky told Digger: "We believe the piece was supportive of the club, its past managers, its traditions, and its future. And we hope that when viewed in context this, and the creative use of the banner, is clear."
Producers are likely to go easy on the symbolism next time.
Nah, there's little doubt about the wider point & perhaps the reason we are so touchy about this sort of thing is the genuine undercurrent it goes with.

There's no undercurrent, it's just fan paranoia...every fan thinks Sky hates them...the Mancs, City, Arsenal...i work with all of them and all the fans think that Gray etc all have vendetta's against their respective clubs.
Having seen the context of the altered flag, i see little wrong with what Sky did (bar getting the owners permission, or maybe fading the banner out and fading in a big old question mark over it....Hodgson's face replaced by a question mark would have made their point perfectly, and stopped a lot of fans from getting all riled over a nothingness.
Yep..........bit of a big deal out of nothing.
Perfectly in keeping with their usual nonsensical montages they have before every game, and in that vein, it was clear what the context was.
TBH, I was more uneasy with their fawning towards Roy, right from the English chest-thumping and Rafa-bashing in the studio, to the horrendously awful and choreographed "interview with Geoff" on the touchline............................almost made me sick.
"I will make the boys feel your support"
Jurgen Klopp June 2020
Got to admit tho, Rafa did kinda make a rod for his own back with his attitude towards the press, so it's no surprise that he gets unwarrented stick for it from that same quarter. The fact that he was foreign may play a part, but then so is Wenger and the media never hounded him, even with Arsenal's lack of trophy's recently.
I really can't believe something like this has annoyed so many people. You must all be sat watching the game waiting for Gray or Redknapp or Merson or Keys to say anything that is not 100% positive about our club and then you get yourself all riled, and can't wait to get on here and post it. Chill out FFS.
Sky always use super-imposing and other technical jiggery-pokery to make their montages or features more interesting - what is the big deal?
