Great news this. Was a few rumours floating about that Rafa wanted to take him to Inter.

Yes, I've never really understood why people have been so dissatisfied with him. He's been atleast good enough the majority of the time and had a bit of a patchy section although at his age and with the general performance being quite solid. He looked pretty good on the weekend, so hopefully he can keep it up. With a 4 year deal we are protecting ourselves quite well too, as if he is to leave we'll get a decent fee.

I thought he was going to be sold because he was obviously deemed surplus to requirements since he never got picked.

Then dww informed me the reason he wasn't selected is he was injured.

I'm still not convinced he's dominant enough in the air or good enough on the ball (one or other would do). But he played a lot better on Sunday than he has for a while.

So theres not enough time at the moment to sort Carras contract out, which runs out at the end of the season and he has said himself it will take 2 minutes to sort- but theres enough time to sort out Skrtels?

the echo says talks had been going on for a few months with skrtel.
