What's the reason Real are flogging him for less than 25% of what they paid for him? There is the justification for telling him to go and bollocks.

What about if we could move Pennant on in January to replace him with Beckham - would anyone take him then?

I would love to bring Beckham in. I still think he is class, and he always seems motivated and to care, which ultimately we seem to lack at the minute. He has lost some of his old dynamism but he is still an exceptional talent and we could probably use his signing to boost our shirt sales and exposure in the U.S. and Asia.

Do you HONESTLY believe that? I think he's a spent force and if Real madrid don't think he's worth a new contract then that's good enough for me.

Could you not say the same about Fowler? I don't believe that they brought him back for purely footballing reasons(if that was the case wouldn't he have played more often?), the revenue generated from sales of Fowler shirts must've been a fair wedge of cash.
