i don't think johnson has been complete turd since he's arrived. on the contrary, i thought he looked **** tonight because i know he can do better.

He's not been at his best but the stick he gest is daft. He does **** all wrong at the back and people call for someone else to take his spot. Crazy talk.

Again, Johnson did little wrong at the back tonight and again, he is getting stick for it.

He also created a goal to keep those quiet who were moping on about him not creating or scoring. But still they moan.

Personally I thought he gave away a lot of stupid fouls, especially in the first half which can be a major problem against better sides, and his distribution sucked (not just his fault of course, but he played his part with his worrying indecisiveness)...........nobody's jumping on his back for one game, but just because he wasn't nutmegged, and then skinned on the way to a Trabzonspor goal, doesn't mean he was faultless (especially as he isn't playing to his strengths....apart from one moment of course)

tbf when i made that comment he had just gone meandering for the umpteenth time up the field only to be summarily dispossessed without so much as a whimper, with the clock running down. i was pissed because he was turning over the ball and we were losing.

Regarding Johnson, again, i think most of expect him to be one of our best and most consistent players and when he makes a few mistakes in a match we're thinking "we forked out £18m for this man" and he's mistake ridden all over the show, wtf is going on?
There's nothing wrong with that though, i know Johnson didn't set his price tag but it's almost an assumption from supporters to think you get what you pay for, high expectations.

Johnson has great qualities, he's tall, very quick, mobile and skillful but he does lose his concentration too often during matches - whether it be giving the ball away in a dangerous area, losing his marker, making a rash challenge or whatever. After a while that does test your patience.

I didn't see any of the match so I have no idea how we played. Considering the players we were missing I think its a very good result. To go to turkey is never easy, so to go and win with a few players missing when everybody was hoping for a draw at best is pretty damn good from my point of view

gets boring after a while though.
