Well, hopefully we'll see as much of a change in performance in the second half as we did in Turkey, although we should'nt really have to wait till the second half to see motivated players.

Its not the motivation. That's ok. Its the application of talent where we lack. Mainly due to the fact 4 key players out there don't have any. Nada. Suso, Sterling and Pacheco playing would have seen us 3-0 up by now.

Kuyt/Lucas/Poulsen/Jova is the worst Liverpool midfield I've ever seen. If anyone thinks we could have had a result at City with that shower, he's getting his answer now. Close game between two equal sides is what I'm seeing.

That midfield four is diabolical, we should not play that combination ever again starting from the second half.

Get Pacheco, Babel and Maxi on straight away, drop Gerrard into midfield.

who cares what he's thinking. He's here to improve us. We have Cole, him, new left back, agger to go centre back, torres to regain match fitness and the others to up their games. Its a work in progress. Unfortunately Roy has inherited Kuyts lack of touch and pace and wasn't Jova already signed? We must bring a wide player in.

take off lucas, drop gerrard back and let someone with a little touch play off of one foot Torres. Pacheo on. Babel on for Dirk II.

the midfield has just been a complete let down.

Poulsen was never bought in as a creator and we all know about his limitations. Lucas i dont understand - he's got a chance to move forward from midfield yet he's just stood about playing his teamates into trouble. He's offered nothing and you can see why hodgson has also been linked with a move for inler because his performance is terrible.

Rafa played to kuyts strenghts and negated his weaknesses which made him look half decent whereas hodgson is asking him to do things he just cant. Jovanovic on the other side has been a real disappointment because he doesnt seem willing to attack his fullback and for someone playing wide its criminal because everything is so congested and agger isnt mobile enough to provide the width on the outside.

Its not working and something has to give. Bring on rodriguez and asap because he's much better than kuyt as a wide right player. As for jovanovic - he's lucky that he's only got ryan babel as real competition and that says it all.

I also agree with bob that we need a decent wide player but once we've spunked all our budget on carlton cole we'll be left with 2 twiglets, a packet of fags and a ball of pocket fluff.

Not sure which decent wide player could come in for that.
