we cant seriously expect hodgson to imprint his ideas onto rafa benitez's team in 3 weeks and it will take time.

Its obvious the players havent grasped his tactics because unlike fulham we were all over the place, we had no shape, we had no control of the ball, we conceded posession too easily and the amount of space they had to play in was unbelievable.

But given time and some decent signings we might get there.

think I just saw a side short of confidence. maybe because nobody's sure what roy wants yet. the problem up front is not that we never attack, its that nobody ever shoots. they look like they'd rather pass the ball away from a good position than take on the responsibility. and despite the fact that nobody in the side is capable if beating a man atm, we also don't pass enough in the buildup, coming through the middle third especially. could be well play our way out of it, or maybe well look better once they're more confident about roy's ideas.

Why the hell did Babel play only 5 minutes. He would have done more damage than Maxi on the wing especially on the counter attack.

Too early in the season to criticize but the way the game evolved, Liv. obviously needed a pacy winger/striker much earlier in the game!

As for the **** that was masquerading as Liverpool on the pitch, Meireles and Konchesky can't get here soon enough IMO. Lucas to the bench, Poulsen DM, Jova to the bench and Cole on the left, Meireles in attacking midfield, Gerrard in the hole, Torres up top, Skrtel to the bench, Agger to the middle, Konchesky LB.

We need a shuffle desperately; Jova, Lucas, Skrtel out. Dire dire stuff, that.

I was thinking something similar actually, at least we know there's 3 or 4 players that will(they'd need to be)be dropped and 3 or 4 hungry players coming in who will hopefully freshen things up a bit.

Agreed, he's really reckless and his timing is horrible he was pretty when he just got here but has since gone backwards big time!

Anyway, I hope Cole and Meireles can make the difference but I don't rate Konchesky at all.
