Fair play to you Marineboy - a very dignified response. If somebody had've threw an insult like that to me - i'm not sure i could have gave as good, eloquent and as an articulate response.

Redstaralex - what would you do, if you were in Marineboy's shoes??

Methinks you have a severe dose of 'green eyed monster' - itis...

I think some of the ST regulars in the Lower Cent need a bit of a shake up.

The amount of times I've watched people reading a full programme during the whole of the first half, or chatting about last nights telly, totally not arsed about the match. Need to get some fresh faces in there...

No comment on the game, no singing, may aswell just sit a mannequin there in a red shirt and scarf.

It's as if some only go to the match to catch up on the social and aren't really that arsed about the game itself, as has been shown by the atmosphere on the 3pm Sat Kick Offs.

Isn't this all part of what make the club special The waiting and anticipation and then the value placed on the ticket within the family?
            Yes.

right then, I shouldn't have been insulting so Marineboy, I apologise for for the insults, however when stating that "Dave's two lads often come with us when home from university" suggests that you're keeping them for anyone who wants to go to the match when they feel like it, rather than having to sit through the ****e like 0-0 v sunderland at home like most of us have done before being in a position to be able to buy tickets through loyalty

as for the other people saying it's sour grapes and that I would do the same in his shoes, we'll never know, I would hope that I wouldn't, but not being in that position allows me to take the moral high ground, I can't believe that I'm the only person that thinks this is wrong, I feel like I'm on the verge of losing faith in humanity if every person only thinks of themselves

Apology accepted, but not necessary. Its not quite as you describe, we aren't holding on to tickets for anyone who wants them, the other two tickets are used by my Dad and by a friends young lad. We all turn up week after week, and all cup games, no matter who the opposition are, and support the team. We too buy the tickets through loyalty, what other reason would we have to spend the small fortune each year? We're certainly not doing it with any thoughts to deprive anyone else of being able to go to the match, or of ownership having any kind of social status, and we're certainly no johnny come lately glory hunters.

Don't give up on humanity mate, of course you would look after you and yours first, that is human is it not? If you would give up something you have coveted and earned through years of patience well good for you, you are the better man and I hope one day soon you get the opportunity to be put to that test.
