Worst Decision By A LFC Owner?

I think that would be a lot more revealing than what the official website suggests we discuss: -

I think number one would have to be Moores selling to G&H but I'm sure they could take the rest of the top 10.

Moores selling LFC to the yanks is the single biggest worst decision ever made in football imo....It was so negligent and irresponsible considering the amount of lives his actions have directly affected.

      Souness made a few howlers...

Kenny walking away was the big one for me though... oh Kenny... why didn't we just give him a bit of time off..

the one mentioned of the website about souness sticking the flag in the centre circle of the pitch shouldnt be classed as a bad decision . . . . . . . that was pure genius!!!!!

            there are so many:

            - not bringing kenny back after his departure
            - appointing souness as the manager
            - him buying a succession of ****e players - Paul stewart anyone ? / torben Piecknic / mark walters / istvan koszma
            - houllier buying diouf, diao, cheyrou

We are exactly where we because of a carefully orchestrated campaign of ****e decisions. Culminating in David Moores having what can only be described as a 'mental aberration'.

Houllier not signing Anelka was a pretty bad one.

This being one of the bigger ones..

However, what really tarnished Souness in the eyes of many Liverpool fans was his decision to sell the story of his heart bypass surgery to The Sun in 1992.

The Sun is still reviled on Merseyside for the scurrilous accusations it made about Liverpool supporters at the Hillsborough disaster and to compound Souness' monumental error of judgement, the story came out on the third anniversary of the tragedy with a picture of him kissing his then fiancee, now wife, Karen.

Souness admits he should have resigned there and then and said:

"Because our FA Cup semi-final with Portsmouth went to penalties, the paper missed the deadline.

"It ended up in the newspaper on the Wednesday - the anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster.

I should have resigned then, looking back.

I will forever be sorry it happened.

It was out of my control.

I was in hospital having an operation which, as it turned out, was life threatening.

Without doubt 1991 and David Moores taking over Liverpool FC, Yes Souness ****ed up big time but then Moore has been at the helm of the club sine 1991 and seen us on a steady decline till his ultimate boswell moment of selling to the yanks.

5 ****ing years and hundreds of thousands of pounds to sell to without doubt the worse owners imaginable.

Moores Selling to the Yanks = End of thread..

Moores selling to G&H has to be number one but I'm sure their are a lot more serious screw ups made by our current and past owners than anything a Manager could do.

Hick's son swearing to a supporter, walking into the Albert & thinking he would be given a warm reception. Got to be plenty more.

I don't really want to be shooting down our Managers, I suppose Souness could be an exception but I prefer to remember him as one of our best players than our worst Manager.

I don't really understand the discussion being started on the official website, why don't they start a discussion about the worst decisions made by our owners?
