Well hopefully he lets Lucas play football like a true Brazilian.

****ing hell you miserable cunts. Its brimingham away, you really want a new signing with one training session behind him to line up alongside another new signing in Poulsen that has played what 2 league games?

People wanted Gerrard behind Torres and now they have that. Yet still we'll fail. If we'd played Gerrard in centre and dropped lucas and played Ngog up front that would be wrong too.

Patience. The new boy will come on soon enough. Next week we have Cole back as well.

I find the comments on here this season the most negative and soul destroying in all the time of the internet. I know the club isn't rosy but this constant sniping at every ****ing line up is wank. We used to critise after the match.

You must be confusing me with someone else, mate. They're wide players, but not the type of winger you need for 442. The point is that we don't have that kind of winger at the club, so 442 will not work.

On a different note, it's high time we started with a team with attack in mind.
Bringing RM into the team was pretty much RH's marquee signing and we are even led to believe he had enough faith in Lucas to offload him.

So for RH to start with this team when 3 points are a must, isn't very inspiring.

                MATCH FACTS
                Head-to-head

                • The last six league matches between Birmingham and Liverpool have ended as draws - if this ends all square it will equal the Premier League record for consecutive drawn matches between two teams.

                • Liverpool's Steven Gerrard has scored in six of the nine league matches he has played against Birmingham.

                • In 114 matches between the sides, Liverpool have won 56, Birmingham 29 and there have been 29 draws.

                Birmingham

                • Birmingham have gone 16 home games without a Premier League defeat.

                • The Blues have scored two headed goals this season - just one fewer than they did in the whole of the 2009-10 league season.

                • There were only 32 goals scored at St Andrew's in 2009-10, fewer than at any other Premier League ground.

                Liverpool

                • Liverpool have only won one of their last 10 Premier League away matches.

                • The Reds have only scored eight goals in their last 13 league away games and half of those were netted in one match (v Burnley).

                • The only team that striker Fernando Torres has faced more than once and not scored against in the Premier League is Birmingham (twice).

Anyone changing their prediction after reading this?

Disappointed if Lucas will start over Raul. I was really looking forward to see him playing...

Maybe he feels that Lucas has been looking better in training than RM? RM maybe carrying a knock? We don't know. I think Lucas is **** personally. But when Cole is available, we'll have little choice but to be more attacking imo. I think its down to Roy wanting RM to see the pace of a PL game at close quarters. It may be 6 months before we see the best of RM, thats the risk with any overseas players at any club. Yet we want them to come straight in and be world class from the off.

I think 3 points are important but not the be all though. Spurs have dropped 5 points that were bankers. City have also dropped 5 givens. The teams we are battling aren't pulling clear. We'll get what we get, but we won't be dead if we lose the next 2. We'll be pissed off for sure.

there's a whole season ahead of us. Unless you have only a week to live you'll see him.

as for pacheco i'm sure he's good enough to do a job on the left.

the two down below would come in handy

That's not the point Bob. Raul is brought here to start and unless he is run by the car and on life support in hospital he should be always, always in Roy's mind ahead of Lucas.

Our next game is against Mancs, and if Roy has intentions of going for all 3 points there, he should give Raul chance to get a feel for PL and teammates and play today, and maybe 1 half on Thursday.

I'm an anxious as anyone to see Lucas off the ****ing pitch but FFS lads relax, i said last week that IMO it would be stupid to play 2 debutants in the same game, especially when its away to Birmingham which is going to be an extremely difficult game.

                                Personally i'd like to see:

                                Maxi-Poulsen-Gerrard-Jovo
                                -----Babel---------------
                                -----------Torres--------

With Maxi in there we'll have bit more creativity going forward than with Kuyt, give Babel his chance centrally(even though i'm sick of the lad wanna see what he can do upfront) . I want to see him play too but Merieles will get his chance but with 2 horrible games in Birmingham and Mancs its very difficult to put a player straight to the rough/tumble and pace of the premier league against these 2 particular teams, he'll be bedded in and rightly so. Konchesky on th eother hand is used to it so i'd expect him to feature.
