Nah - not defrnsiveo. I'm all for -V-'s idea of putting him at right wing with Kelly at RB.

So the leaked team was spot on again.

It does pose the question of who is the leak? This surely hands an advantage to our opponents. If we are able to find the team out a day in advance you can bet opposition managers will know it too. It gives them 24 hours to prepare for our exact starting XI. Not ideal.

Ive always thought this, think he'd do a better job than Maxi/Kuyt, and i would love to see Kelly break into the first team.

Regarding the match, hopefully Gerrard and Nando will be back to full cylinders and could make the game slightly better to watch, I just hope as Roy has come out and said he doesn't think we can win the title he doesn't start to play like a team that wants to stay mid table. I think the team he plays against the Manc's will speak volumes, if he goes for Gerrard and RM in the middle with Cole back behind FT and maybe Babel on the left, could suggest he wants to mount a challenge more than settle for what we have, of course the flipside he may go alot more defensive, i dont know whats best

Yep, said the same thing in the other thread. ****ing joke.

As for those criticising Skrtel's inclusion, he's been our best defender so far this season, plus Agger's had a few shaky games.

Agger has been played out of position, and Skrtel has made some poor decisions (some he's got away with and some he hasn't). I'd have liked to see Agger back at centre back, he adds an extra dimension to out game IMO
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I'd have made two changes this line up:

                Agger for Skrtel

                Babel for Jovanovic

ah right Jamie says Roy has spent 20m but sold 30m so until that is put right Roy will struggle.

Strange we all knew this already

Skrtel for Agger is baffling unless he is resting Agger with Steau in midweek, not right starting 2 debutants in Konk and Merieles is right for me, Konchesky is used to the pace and tempo so that makes ssense, i reckon Merieles will start against Steau (if he is eligible)

Hope Roy shows some urgency if we are in trouble, that side lacks real pace, but so does Birmingham. I reckon if we are struggling Gerrard may drop in for Lucas and Babel will come on behind Torres. Not a fan of Lucas, hoping that this will be one of his last starts for us.

Fair enough, i just think Skrtel's had a strong start to the season and deserves to keep his place.

The selections ahead of the defence are more of a concern imo.

I don't mind McLeish think he's quite a good manager IMO
as for Redknapp, I go off him more every time he opens his mouth.

Babel is useless on the left, Jovo hasn't looked great but we have a real problem at LM thats for sure but i think we have seen that LM is most certainly not Babel's position, agree with Agger though Skrtel can be a massive liability.

This will be a very tough game
