Much better second half but still pretty poor. Konchesky had a good debut before getting injured. Torres is horribly out of confidence/fitness. Raul looked good in his little cameo and made us tick over a little faster.

Birmingham are no mugs, especially at their place, but were it not for Reina we'd have lost that.

Skrtel is a liability and Glen Johnson is possibly the worst right back at defending in the league. Technically talented footballer, but his positioning and composure under pressure is terrible.

Lucas and Poulson were far too static, Maxi was awful, and Jovanovic seems like a slightly poor-man's Kuyt, hard work but not a lot else.

On the plus side, Reina is boss, Torres can only get fitter, Konchesky was ok before coming off, and in his brief cameo, Merieles looked a player to me, clever runs, good touch, prepared to get into the box. With him and Cole to settle into the team there is some hope atleast....

Yup with Cole back I am now expecting to see both him and Merieles start against the Mancs and as long as the Konk is fit surely Agger has to start in the centre of defence - woefully poor today.

You're being a bit harsh on Jova, i thought he tried to create and make things happen more than most and he's only been here 5 minutes.

Maxi, on the other hand was given a big chance to impress in place of Kuyt and blew it spectacularly, ****ing woeful display.
