I think Cole will play off Torres.

I'd go with Meireles off Torres if I was to play him as I think he nees a bit of time to get the hang of the pace of the Premier League and a baptism of fire away to Man Utd aint ideal.

In all honesty I wanted him to play today so we could see if could be useful for the Man Utd game, but I understand that after one training session it wouldn't have been ideal.

Play him DM with Lucas on Thursday to see how he does and give a game. Put him on the bench for the man Utd game and start him in the next league game.

Jaysus lads - the idea of Gerrard in CM against the scum in OT seems like total madness to me. I actually agree that Lucas should play. I'd hope for Mereiles to be there too but it might be too soon. Isn't he the one we want to start dictating our general play and tempo while also being a fairly decent ball winner? SG behind Torres to **** UP VIDIC!

I'm convinced that this scum team are over - they'll get a few good results while sinking but the way Zamora bullied them a few weeks ago and the manner in which they drew yesterday gives me hope that we could actually get something.

**** me will we miss Dirk for this one though. And Maxi may be great at keepyuppies and the Maradona 7 or whatever but I can't see him doing much in OT.

With Babel playing, he'd be one of three attacking players and i don't see any reason why we should be worried about his tracking back and all that.

Furthermore Kuyt won't be playing and Maxi was **** today so i don't see it as a massive surprise that i'm suggesting Babel should start.

He has pace which can be a great weapon away from home, esp at a place like OT.

They can switch at any time during the game. Babel and Cole can play on either side.
