This and other boards are littered with the Stevie rumours whixch appear to fall into two categories :

1) Personal problems of a very serious nature :
2) Problems with Rafa over his playing position.

If 1) is true and it's affecting his form then he should be made to take an enforced leave of absence until he is ready to start playing properly again. The club can do this by saying he's picked up a serious injury in training. They wouldn't be the first club to hide a problem using this option.

If 2) is true he should be transferred asap. He's not as good a player as he appears to think he is and we are not a one man team. In the meantime he should be stripped of the captaincy.

I am completely fed up with hearing Stevie G has a problem, we had it in Summer 04 with him wanting to go to a club which would win things. Summer 05 it was Chelsea again, now it's less than 15 months on and he appears to be sulking again.

Our great captains, Yeats,Smithy,Souness,Thommo et al must be looking at this sulky ******* and wondering who the f he thinks he is if he thinks he's bigger than LFC.

Of course it could be neither of the above and he's just knackered, but i've a feeling it's a combination of all three, in which case a little break would probably do him the world of good.

Rest his legs, sort his personal life out and reflect on his LFC career and he might realise that Rafa isn't exactly telling him to play Goalkeeper is he.

An injury might be the best thing for him, but of course we don't wish injury on any of our players. I also think the Man U game cam at a bad time. Rafa has left him out of last weeks midweek squad and this weeks one. If it had been any other game than Man U, Rafa would proabably have left him out of that as well.

Yup, just rec'd it this morning from my boss who is West Ham supporter.It had already been all over the City.
Hope like hell this is not whats bugging Stevie, as it will more than likely affect for the rest of the season.
Especially with Stevie being such a sensitve soul.

I think you're reading too much into all these stories.

Criticise his form by all means but until you actually hear him complaining from his own mouth I suggest you give him some respect as our club captain who has done wonders for this club.
