If I see any of our lot high fiving Rooney and sharing a laugh as he slots home his third on Sunday I won't be happy

Well we'll know in seven or so league games time whether or not being happy makes them perform better. I think that will have been a reasonable amount of time to expect to start seeing results.

Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

The things is that a/ players always say this when a new manager comes in and sort of have to in order to curry favour and b/ it seems a lot like the comments from players Sid Lowe referred to when Rafa left Valencia - despite being 'happier' they went on to achieve a lot less.

Sid Lowe was right, but that doesn't mean it has to be the case here. FWIW I reckon Phil Brown could have too over Liverpool and finished higher than 7th. I think Rafa just had a nightmare last year and everything went against him. I don't think we'd have come any lower than 6th had he stayed either.
