Prior to this fixture last year people on here were kicking off about Webb and to be honest I didn't really see what all the fuss was about really as I thought he was a decent ref, once the game was over it dawned on me what a complete ****** Howard Webb is.

As has been pointed out no doubt he will send off a Liverpool player, Torres will get booked at some point along the way.

Utd will be given a pen, Ferdinand will kick lumps out of Torres and Scholes will be going around kung-fu kicking **** out of everyone whilst getting away with it as usual.

Can't believe we've got this ****er in charge AGAIN.

Anyway **** Webb,

I guess it is influenced by their performances in our games Not deliberately though. I suppose it stands to reason though, given that i watch our games all the time, and therefore use their performances in our matches as my general frame of reference.

I also used to rate Webb, but THAT penalty he gave the mancs at OT against Spurs, when they were 0-2 down and when it was the most blatant non-penalty i'd seen in ages, firmly ended my positive view of him. Even the manc players didnt appeal it

I'm not suprised he's chosen, it's a big game and for some reason the FA see him as the best referee in the country.
