Must admit, now the dust has settled I feel less anger towards Webb and more towards the non-performance of some of our so-called stars.

In fact, i heard Graham Poll on Talksport on the way up yesterday, and he was asked about refereeing this game. He mentioned about how it's a massive game, big pressure, world spotlight, "Ferguson's there" etc.

The bit about Ferguson there, is key. The FA are his lapdogs and most of their refs play ball. Webb's the biggest culprit by far, just like Riley was in his day.

I dont think he's specifically been offered money or attended some secret meetings

I do think referees (some to a greater extent than others) favour Man Utd (some more subconsciously than others, some more consciously) courtesy of the influence of Ferguson, the fact that all their games and big decisions in them are so closely scrutinised and followed worldwide and the fact that they're one of the biggest clubs on the planet, so refs will want to ref them - if they give something major against Man Utd, ferguson will create a **** storm in the media and there's a strong chance that said ref will 'randomly' be given games not involving Man Utd in future.
