He seems to try and play the 'mr cool' when he scores, but I think he is generally ****ting himself in play, i.e before the penalty.

Maybe we didn't need a second striker this summer after all? I've always liked him yet never felt he was good enough to deputise in Torres' absence, but he's proving me wrong.

Needs to prove himself in the PL though. Not just Europa.

He needs to do more in games. If he doesn't score a goal he tends to have had a bit of a shocker as he does little else. Needs more work on his upper body strength to hold the ball better and bring others into play.

He's only 21 and has time.
          Forwards.......

I like Ngog shows confidence and a good attitude, IMO he has done so much better in Europe than the premier league because of the physical nature of the domestic league whereas in Europe he gets a bit less stick, Ngog needs to build up his strength, his hold up play is prob the worst part of his game, he seems to get bumped around by defenders in the premier league but i like him, he keeps working and seems to be a natural goalscorer. Still raw but IMO he is developing very nicely and will only improve.

If he were 2 inches taller he would be a classic striker in the true sense of the word which is rather unfortunate.

edit: wiki has him at 6 foot 3 he really doesnt look that tall, i guess he is just very thin

My god I was. To be fair there weren't many other players on the pitch I would have trusted to take it... Maybe Agger...

A player isnt ****ting himself when he calmly side foots the penalty into the net as close to the post as possible

Just shown he can handle pressure. I still don't like his shots to miss ratio, but that's unfair as Ngog is still very young and learning. The part of his game I like is his ability to hold the ball up and bring others into play. He's no Heskey that's for sure.

He is playing the lone striker role ahead of a disfunctional midfield - one of the hardest roles to play for a youngster and coming off with his reputation intact.
Great attitude on and off the field also.

His overall play looks a bit clumsy but occasionally he pulls of a skill which surprises everyone and he has started doing that a more frequently which shows that he has trickery in his locker. Even when the overall play is not good, he has the ability to put the ball in the net - its an invaluable trait for a striker .

He was kept his head down, worked hard, bulked up and everytime he steps on the field it appears as if he has learned things and looks a better footballer than the previous game. He is the antithesis of everything that is going on at our club now.
