I think we've contained Man Utd and they didn't really look like scoring. Despite all the slating Johnson has had of late, and despite all the criticism Konchesky is getting today, both have done brillinatly to keep Nani and Giggs quiet.

United can't find a way through the middle so they're going down the flanks, but I can't remember them once skinning the full back and getting a decent ball in.

Our problems have come from being in possession. Skrtel in particular aint comfortable in possession. Konchesky was poor for the attempted cross, but other times he gets it everyone is marked, and he is rightly not being silly enough to try and dribble round Nani whilst deep in his own half.

I think second half we'll strt to press a little more as the game goes on and we'll see how we ciope with United counters then.

It's too late now. I can't see us clawing our way back now, we'll get hit by one or two sucker punches.

spot on with the its like going back to the houillier games

even at his worst Rafas play got better results than this seems to.

but its still early days for roy so lets hope he is working on this.

We shouldnt lose heart in games against United,Arsenal and Chelsea.Those 3 are playing at level well above that which our club is currently geared towards.The day we accepted a manager like Roy and players like Konchesky is the the day we accepted mediocrity

It's not tactics man, it's better players.

There's at least 4 players that i wouldn't have starting in our team if the circumstances were different:

Johnson, Konchesky, Poulsen, Maxi to name but 4.

But we haven't got better players and we haven't got the money to go out and buy these players.

Johnson is England's right back and a good one at that. He does need to work a little bit on his concentration though. I have to admit I would like to see a game where we play Kelly at RB and Johnson at RM just to see how it pans out.

Konchesky, ok. I do think he is a better LB than we had plus he's getting to know how to play with different players. Should be doing a little bit better though.

Poulsen ok again and again a new player playing in a new side.

Maxi. I can't disagree here, not been very good at all and maybe Babel on the right might be worth a go with his directness.

The biggest thing for me, and I've said it so many times is we are not a team, we are a bunch of statues who do not seem to know how to move and create space for each other. Cole and Miereles do seem to know how to do this though but it's a big shock for the other 8 (I won't include Pepe here) who don't seem to understand what they are doing.

the sad thing is with whats happening off the pitch we wont see a team this good in Liverpool colours for a year or two possible more.

I dont remember us ever going out and so plainly expecting to get beaten. Sure we had games where we would have liked a more gung-ho approach but we always looked like we had a plan. We're set up here like a mid-table team (which we're turning into very fast) hoping to nick a point from our betters without any idea of where a goal might come from.

Its early days but Im worried about Roy.

We are not going out expecting to get beaten, that's just a bit daft. It seems to me that this group of players (not including the new ones) are not best adapted to this style of play and that showed last season where to be honest I did expect us to get beaten most games. I do have to admit I am not overly confident this season but it's more to do certain players who should be picking games up by the scruff of the neck rather than Roy.
