    A tough decision!

Carra is not the carra of 2005. He knows it! Is this his last season??? Well he knows. But rafa (last year) and Hodgson this season are suffering from many mistakes done by him. (the 2nd nd 3rd goal were his to intercept today)...

Will Hodgson replace him with Agger this season in important matches! I can't imagine him vs Drogba again!

The answer is .... no! I think that managers are afraid of replacing him! It takes a manager with balls to do so!

It's a tough decision but as long as Carra doesn't improve his form, we 'll keep on defending poorly!

I hate to say it cos he's a top bloke and has been brilliant for us, but I think we need a new defensive kingpin.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

He could have done better today but every player has games where they are at fault.

I do think he needs to be replaced soon, but he is still our best defender atm.
        Forwards.......

i can see that he is not the force he was i think he needs a rest and to be treated like hyypia was when he looked over then played great in his more limited appearances

part of the problem is we are playing deeper and i think we have more problems than carra

Only problem is that a CB pairing of Skrtel and Agger does not fill me with too much confidence either.

              ok we have

              carra
              skittles
              agger
              wilson
              ayala

who do we think are the best pairing at the moment?

and then if we are looking to the next 5 years who is the best pairing

and then the next 10 years whats the best pairing?

We need to sign somebody like sof Chris Samba or Bret Hangeland, we have aerially ability in our team. Since Sami we've never had a replacement that can be a force in the air defensively and a danger offensively.

if we had a strong enough squad, a winning squad and confidence in abundance. carra would be rested for the smaller club games. We don't. Add to that we can not retain the ball well and are constantly putting ourselves under pressure, something somewhere gives. If its not carra it could have easily have been insua we are blaming

Agger is not sounding to happy at the mo either. Found this on YNWA :

"The manager's philosophy is that we pay football in attack, but not at the back. That's not my style. I'm not that type of player. I like to keep the ball on the ground, and that's what I'll keep doing. Time will show if he (Hodgson) doesn't want to play me because of that".

"I'll try to change myself, but I will never be a player who hoofs the ball at every opportunity."

" I'll fight for my chance. I know what I stand for, and I think he (Hodgson) does too".

"It's the manager's decision. We have to respect that. That's how it is".

                      well he's right thou.
How can you play football in attack if the balls in the aire bypassing all the midfield and the attackers.
i guess hodgson will find out the truth sooner or later as he is the master of the dark arts the new apprentice to darth sidius

Me neither but I would give them a go. I personally think they may give us little more stability and agility.

On the similar note, I am still trying to understand why Roy is not using Agger instead of Skrtel..Makes no sense.

Its a joke that Agger isn't first choice. Thats got to change quickly.

Skrtle is rubbish and Carragher is going downhil. So we need a quality new centre-back but its not a priority position at the moment
