I went to that "game" the other day. I can't understand why Agger is being made the scapegoat here, it's very unfair. He was no worse than any other player the other day.

It appears he's going to drop everyone that was involved from the other night. If Jovanovic is in the squad I'm going to be very pissed off.

If this continues Agger will go in January without question

Hodgson picked the team. He needs to take responsibility for the defeat. And he needs to show a bad team performance is not the same as a bunch of bad individual performances.

If any first team regular wasn't quite so terrible the other night - I didn't watch much of the game - then he should be in the squad today. If Jovanovic was OK (and at least he scored) then so be it.

If players start to feel they might be dragged down by bad performances from others then morale goes. Of course he could be trying to instil a team mentality (if the team loses then all the individuals lose) but in that case he shouldn't be setting up a B team against an A team.

I simply don't get the psychology involved here unless he thinks players who play with fear play better.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

IF Agger isn't even in the squad then it's yet another black mark against Hodgson. Making scapegoats out of Babel and Agger. WTF is he thinking? Agger made the first goal FFS, it's that kind of play we're lacking.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I'm genuinely very concerned. Agger is class, when I think of our defence without him I cringe. Past it Carragher, contract expiring Soto, unreliable Skrtel and one or two promising youngsters. When I say that I fear Roy is going to do irreversible damage to Liverpool, it's this and one or two other things that I'm frightened of.

Aye, I'm proper worried about Agger.
                3rd place. Worst champions ever.

well, he is in the squad and he is on the bench.
                  Oh I don't know.

Is it still Agger's fault, Woy?

Fooking idiot Agger, you would have had a stronger argument if you buried that header.
                      One tit for another.

Did the linesman raise his flag? Can't recall them showing that on sky. They were discussing it like the miss of the season.

That's what I remember them saying on the radio and I think they specifically mentioned the linesman's flag.

                              Just checked the 5Live commentary:

The flag was up in any case. It wouldn't have counted if it had found the back of the net.
