I read the threads lately and it seems everyone wanted Rafa to stay and no one wanted him to leave. So I thought I'd do a quick search and see if that was the case.

Dug up a few threads.

Rafa should be sacked straight away - 13.99%

I would give him the boot as he failed to meet the minimum objectives of qualify from the group stages in the CL and more importantly, failed to finish top 4.

I don't deny he has been restriced due to the owners, they must take the brunt of the blame for our lack of title challenge. But our squad should still have been good enough for 4th and the fact it didn't I put down to lack of motivation from the manager, of failed tactics.

That said, I wouldn't just kick him for the sake of it. He is a top manager still and I would only let him go if we could bring in another top quality manager. Had we been able to get someone like mourinho in, I would have had to have said adios. But I see there little chance of us recruiting a top manager in, so I guess he has to stay.

I highlight the part which I said all along. And I have more than enough past posts I can dig up that show I no way wanted Hodgson anywhere near us.

But my main point is this. Rafa lost the backing of the fans. Many wanted him out. Many wanted him out without even stopping to think if we could get any better. Well some people got what they wanted.

I am no fan of Roy. But he is Liverpool FC manager and deserves the fans backing. We are not Newcastle FC. We support our managers in the hard times. He is not going anywhere at least until the ownership issue is resolved so I emplore you all, back him until then and see if he can turn it around.

If you want a laugh at some of the now Rafa lovers I suggest you read the threads. Funnier reads in some without a poll but I thought the poll would show better how much backing he had.

I think it turned about 50/50 in the end, it seemed less so in the threads as of course the the anti Rafa fans had something to be more vocal about, just as the anti Roy ones do now.

Not really as I think it is quite important as every man and his dog is claiming to be a Rafa supporter and I think this thread clearly highlights it was not the case.

As most threads end up Rafa v Roy I thought I may as well start one that showed the true feelings of people on this site when times were not so rosy last year.
