Thing is, a draw, particularly a score draw, wouldn't be a particularly bad result. The result combined with the performance is what's really ****ing depressing. We're not going to win out this year, so I'm more bothered about how we play than the results, and so far, our performances have been worse than our results, which have been ****.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

I dont get this theory thoughOriginally posted by danperkins View PostBecause they can sense we are going through a tough time and playing ****e, so they go for the jugular
when you are struggling you roll your sleeves up and scrap and fight for every ball and knockdown
We dont even do that!!Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

Perfect reason not to play them both there, they get in each others way and basically are a nuisance to us not the opposition.Originally posted by el matador View Postwhat do you expect. we've sold alonso and mascherano and today we have lucas and poulsen in the centre.
These two dont even have a tenth of the ability that those two had.
Worse than that is why is an £11m central midfield player playing wide right when he's probably never played there before and doesnt contribtue anything substantial from the right.
Dont understand the formation, why not just play poulsen, lucas and meireles in a midfield 3 and kuyt wide right, cole left and torres up front with meireles moving forward.
The team looks absolutely ****. The Roy Hodgson honeymoon is well and truly over.
We get Cole who I thought would be great in the centre for us and actiually said it was one of the main reasons he did sign for us and he is well ou of it on the left. So what does Roy buy, Mereiles and Poulsen yet more CM?????? When we aint got any wide players at all.
And Im not letting this go without my standard dig at Kon****sky, why did we pay £3m on a poor player when a) were skint and b) Kelly is a much better bet??

In fairness to Roy, the players have been poor individually. Not reading eachothers runs and making sloppy passes. If they actually started playing well we would probably beat these regardless of the system.
That said.
The system is pathetic. No width, Cole and Meireles both it seems being asked to come inside. What summed it up for me was Martin Kelly got the ball near the halfway line and he had not one passing option on, he looked out wide and Cole was more inside than him. Funnily enough he ended up giving the ball away.
And not just no width in attack. No width in defence either. The defenders keep the same distance a part and move across the pitch together as if attached by invisible string. It seems they are a good unit, it's just that any team who moves the ball across quickly enough has plenty of time to get down the flank and whip a ball in.
It is making our full backs and defensive midfielders look like complete mugs. Because everytime a ball is coming into our box people are questioning the full back, or the DM for not covering.
The system does not work.
And ffs, if Roy is going to play Raul RM, why the **** did he not just go out and actually buy someone who can play RM? Meireles is being made to look ****e.Forwards.......

Are you sure that it is even bar Souness. Possibly the worst since Don Welsh.Originally posted by JohnDoe View PostWorst manager we've ever had bar Souness.

Dire stuff
Roy simply can't be this clueless with so much experience. I cannot understand why we're set up like we are
There are 3 central midfielders on the pitch, which is fine if one of them is Gerrard, but it isn't
Go 4-3-3 or make a change. 4-5-1 with Cole behind Torres and Babel on the left
DepressingI saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

Yes, definitely. We could very well get a result out of this game but it doesn't mean a thing to me, because we will be exposed badly, then beaten by any half decent team. Not that this lot aren't half decent but you know what I mean. I don't mind playing unattractive football if it's well organised and structured, every player knows his role and it's part of a cognitive process.Originally posted by Operation View PostThing is, a draw, particularly a score draw, wouldn't be a particularly bad result. What I can't handle is playing poor football where everyone looks lost at sea and we can't string a few simple passes together against far inferior opposition with players played in the most illogical positions. Even if we win today, no doubt this is an absolute disaster. If we weren't getting the results but it looked like things were clicking into place and the signs were there I could handle that, but this is ****ing horrendous. I've always respected Roy before, but I've come to the conclusion that his knowledge of the game is ridiculously poor, especially once you consider how long he's been in it. He doesn't have a clue.

I hope he gets sacked before he gets a chance. To be fair to Roy, Souness dismantled a title winning team.Originally posted by Rich View PostAt least Souness won the FA Cup. Can you say the same about Roy on current evidence, its been an unmitigated disaster of an appointment.
