Now I cannot disagree with how our defence is looking so far this season and I cannot understand why Roy is choosing Skrtel over Agger, I know who I would rather have in the team at the moment. But having said that, good old Carra is not looking the player he once was and he is tugging on opposition shirts and getting caught out almost as much as Skrtel and they are both looking vulnerable which doesn't help Pepe and is probably stems from a huge lack of confidence.
3rd best in the league, sadly we also hit the post a record number of times.

He's had Torres coming deep for the ball, running the channels and winning flick-ons the last couple of games. That is certainly not how Rafa got all of those goals out of him

I think he genuinely doesn't know. I base this on watching the team play.

By now he should be begining to understand the shape make up and ability of his team. I mean they do train. But watching us you would agree with his statement that "he doesn't know" - either way it is hardly inspiring stuff.

It's a bit depressing watching Momo Sissoko wrecking Man City.

I know you all have short memories but we lost about 18-19 games last season. By this stage last season we had already been beaten by Spurs, Villa and Fiorentina. We then went on and lost to Chelsea, Fulham, Arsenal, Sunderland and Lyon all in the month of October.

Worse than last season? Don't make me laugh, we are playing terrible and not making any progress but we are certainly losing less matches
We need to see where we are after quite a few more games before we actually can make a fairer comparison.

At the end of the day, so far, we are unbeaten in Europe and if we look at the games we've played so far well, we are actually 2pts down on last season thanks to the draw against Sunderland. We did better against Arsenal this year and worse against Man City.

Let's see where we are after a fair number of games and then all the Roy haters can tell us, the give the guy some time people, 'we told you so'!

I remember the good old days when he wasn't good enough for our first team. He'd ****ing walk into it with ease now.

He'd walk right into our team, but back then we had Alonso and Mascherano, and Sissoko couldn't play with the latter.

I can't believe how **** our midfield is right now.

3rd best defensively but 7th worst at converting games into points, the more important statistic to me.

Just quickly, does anyone know why Agger wasn't in the squad?

Yes, but a good defence you can build, Hodgeson's incompetence has destroyed even that.

Fair enough, I just think he's giving a wank question by a wank journalist the answer it deserves.

After watching Poulsen/Lucas today, I was thinking before this City-Juve game started if it would be possible we could ever re-sign him. Damn, watchin him now is depressing me - he is such a talented player.
