Dampening our fervent completely unrealistic expectations of finishing in the top half of the table would be my guess.

ste will be back and lucas will be out so i am more than confident the team will click . . . .especially if we try to play from the back like last night.

        genuinely excited about htis game.

No. For seeing things that just aren't there

I don't mean it as a criticism, I admire your positivity. I just have no idea how you're seeing what you report you're seeing

The knives are out for Hodgson. This is Dominc King's latest (an excerpt from today's Echo), and he's spot on.

Cole and Meireles are footballers capable of threading those type of passes but they were out on the flanks, while Christian Poulsen and Lucas were assigned to keeping the barriers battened down in the middle. Sadly it meant the situation for Liverpool was all of a muddle.

                      im going

I said this under bad times with houiller and rafa and it's the same now.....I want a manager with some ****ing balls - were playing ****e, everyone is pissed off, so don't do what we all ****ing know roy will do and try and play it safe and scrape a nil nil with maybe the hope of a magical gerrard/torres monet to nick it - have some ****ing bottle - play 4-3-3 and pick the main key players and then maybe a couple of youngsters with fire in the belly

**** it - rather than pick the usual ****e we all expect, go out there, gung ****ing ho, and attack - we do that we have the players to blitz blackpool off the park - whats the worst that could happen. We lose - oh well and least we had a ****ing go -

                      --------------------reina-----------------

                      johnson------carra------skrtel-------agger

                      -------meireles-----gerrard-----lucas

                      ---------pacheco----torres-------cole

And play it as a proper 4-3-3 ala chelsea, not pick the side, then 5 mins after kick off have pacheco and cole playing left and right mid leaving torres isolated again. - push them high up the pitch, play with a high tempo, have the opposition on the back foot and flood the ****ing box with players.

I wouldn't be surprised if Blackpool and Newcastle finished above us in the league.

Blackpool will probably boss the game and create more chances than us

I don't expect Roy to play an attacking game, not even against Blackpool at home.

If Roy plays Miereles out on the right again I'll cry. Madness. I was all for giving Roy a bit of time to get his ideas across, but this has really made me doubt his judgement.

however dont worry we rested Gerrard so he could play in this.

how far have we fallen ? and how much further will we fall?
                              best odds are

                              Liverpool 1/3
                              Draw (4/1)
                              Blackpool (10/1)
