I was just about to type something similar.

He could very easily have ended up at Arsenal or Spurs. He must go to bed at night and think why the **** did i not join either of them.

when we signed him i didnt think it was a brilliant day and that everything was alright because we had Joe Cole.

Ive never rated the lad and i only wanted us to buy him because we're skint and he's the best player we could have had for zilch. He has no end product and always flatters to deceive.

his skills are not in doubt but he cannot hurt teams and he isnt top draw. He never was at chelsea and he isnt going to be for us. In fairness to him, he's by no means the only players who flatters to deceive in the liverpool team.

Anyone watching our games this season, who didnt know gerrard and torres, would also conclude that they are **** and cant hurt teams.

It's the whole team, the stupid system and idiotic manager.

Put a proper manager in charge and the team will be good - Cole included.

Martin O'Neill, would you take him? Yes or No?

I'd take him because he isnt Roy Hodgson.

My preferred solution would be that Kenny takes temporary charge and we desperately hope that we get the ownership issue sorted imminently, so a proper proven successful manager can be brought in.

the difference between gerrard, torres and cole is that the two formers have turned it on many times during their careers and for extended periods and both have proved themselves at the highest level of the game many times over.

as posters have mentioned 1 good game in 10 doesnt make you a world class player and joe has never really done it at the highest level consistently.

he was a free transfer and is good on that level. but he's nowhere near the level of either gerrard or torres.

              new manager or not.

but i do agree that hodgson isnt getting the best out of the players we already have and even those that he bought. i guess it doesnt help that he doesnt know where the new lads should be playing even though he signed them.

I didnt call him world class. But his career has been hampered by injuries, yet, when fit, he's proved himself to be a quality player, both in the PL, in the CL and at international level.

Ths thing is, and it was clearly highlighted yesterday, he isnt any good at Left Midfield.

Play him in the middle (same can be said for Merelies and the right hand side) and you will see what we saw for 25 mins in the second half yesterday. A good confident player who can dictate play, gets on the ball and makes things happen.

What does Woy then do, move him back to the right and but the totally ineffective Kuyt back in the middle where he can miscontrol more balls and slow the play down even more.

What does Woy then do? Take him off, unbelieveable.

The only time I have ever seen Woy get animated on the sideline (and I sit right behind him) is to tell Joe to get back, with 5 mins left against Sunderland and with 5 mins left yesterday, Joe ignored him yesterday and got dragged off.

What is it with Dirk, cant the Subs board display a number 18???

This is the ideal scenario now IMO.

In a 4-3-3 or a 4-2-3-1, he's fine on the left. But yeah, not in a 4-4-2 or whatever the **** Hodgson is trying to do with us.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

His end product has always been a doubt for me.

But the main thing he needs to do is get bloody fit. His physical condition is shocking.

He spent loads of the second half bent over and fighting for breath.

                        It's just not good enough.

I'm not actually convinced he's the only one who is short on stamina either.

It's very worrying, but the least I want from a professional athlete on tens of thousands of pounds each week is to be able to run their bollocks of for 120 minutes. Not to be panting like billyo after an hour.

Stamina was never a problem under Rafa. It was known that we were arguably the fittest team in the league, because to implement his rigorous methods, it needed to be that way.

We've gone so far back and in a short span of time it's incredible.
                          Are we winning?

In a lot of ways he brings many of the same tactical problems that Benayoun did in that he isn't suited to a central role but offers no width on the left. He is stronger though so may have worked if we had the level of organisation we had under Rafa.

In a lot of ways the biggest challenges for a manager of our team is trying to get the balance right for Cole and Johnson. Both are capable of being top players but bring no intelligence or instinct to the table. If they both click in a system then I think our squad would suddenly look a lot stronger.

I thought at least in the case of Johnson Roy's by rote tactics might help get the best out of them but the opposite has been true.

Currently I think, along with a lot of others in our squad, Cole is suffering from being misused and not being part of a workable plan in which players complement one another.
                            Yeah English people are idiots
