Wouldn't necessarily single them out, but Pennant had one of the best games I've seen him have in a red shirt.

He did very well up until later on in the 2nd half, although by that time the balance of the team was screwed with the subs.

Robbie was the danglers tonight. His movement is superb and thats why he got that goal. We looked quite ordinary and long ball until Fowler produced that piece of magic.

Whats the thoughts on the likes of Bellamy doing Fowler's running and so doing for Robbie's career what he did for Shearer's?

Thought Pennant looked good from the highights I saw and it was good that Fowler scored, but the main positive for me was that we won.

What would be your main negative?

Conceding 3 goals against a poor team would be mine.

Think Rafa will play Kuyt and Crouch against Villa. Hope to see Robbie on the bench though. If we are searching for a goal late on it would be great to have God ready. He has scored some cracking goals against Villa!

True but put into context of the back 4 we had out when we conceded.

You're right mate, totally different to the back 4 we had out when we conceded 2 in 6 minutes against Gala.

Both with the no Momo factor though. They should still be regarded differently and I do believe we would not have conceded at all with our regular back line.

That's kind of true actually, "career's" a bit strong, buit certainly for the last couple of years at Newcastle when Shearer was still scoring regularly Bellamy really did so much work for him and was instrumental in his continued heavy strike rate, I'm surrounded by rampant Geordies and they'd all admit that.

Just watched the match on Off site (40 mins highlights)

Not a bad game, we looked comfortable on the ball. Passing was smooth even though the weather was ****.

Robbie was on Blob last night, good, intelligent and confident as usual.

Crouch’s goal was a little cheeky, showing of his growing confidence.

                          …..and then

a total brain-fart. Defence went sloppy and were at 4-3.

Over all I’m a happy chap after watching those highlights, I listened to so much **** of other people (non-LFC) today. How we were lucky, defence was all over the place Bla Bla Bla….we were ****ing good. We won! That’s it! Bring on Saturday!
