How can you get excited for games when each team selection puts you in a **** mood before it's even started. We all know what will happen - sit back early, concede, look better second half and lose to a counter

That's what I'm thinking going into games now Rafa baffled some people but you could at least explain the logic, and he at least had the balls to dominate the game, Roy is just pathetic

If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I think Cole is capable of playing in the middle. The only reason i'd have him on the left is that he's our best option there.

Personally, if kelly is fit he should play rb. If not carra there is next best.

As for Meireles, he's a cm.

          Any Flash/Mac streams?

I predict a **** match but it's on at a decent time so I'm watching it.

Anyone know if Kelly is at least on the bench?
            Are we winning?

Liverpool full-back Glen Johnson will miss today’s Merseyside derby with a thigh injury.

If its Cole off Torres then happy days, Cole does be wasted out on the left and sure Maxi does **** all anywhere so why not stick him on the left

Not sorry with the way he's been playing, liability. Lot of injuries on both teams, far from the strongest line ups on both sides

But if Cole is off Torres what happens to Gerrard? He get's puched back into CM, meaning Meireles is out wide again

                      It should be this:

                      ------Meireles - Lucas

                      Maxi------------------Cole

                      ---------Gerrard

                      ----------Torres

Anything else is just plain daft.

We should play 4-3-3 I reckon.

Of course it is. Hodgson has broken up our most potent attacking axis. For three years it's worked. Cole in the hole means Gerrard in the deeper central role, which - with Lucas in the side - means Meireles wide again. It's an absolute joke.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Thats the problem how do you play Cole/Meireles & Gerrard in their best positions in the same 11? Answer is you can't!! Cole is a much more creative player than Meireles, Meireles is definitely not a RM but his has great work ethic and is better at tracking back and covering up than Cole. We've been sacrificing Cole out left and he has been completely wasted out there, i just want to see what he can do centrally with Gerrard behind him and Torres in front of him. Any which way you put it we lose out in some way. Maybe alternate the two is the only answer.

Yep. Drop Lucas from that side though, put Riera or even Jova on the left and it's a much better balance.
