I'd just like to point out that some of us have been consistent about Joe Cole.

He would fit ideally into a 4-2-3-1 as one of 'wide' players coming inside picking up pockets of space allowing an attacking full back to overlap and provide the width.
Or obviously wide in the front 3 of a 4-3-3 but when we have players who aren't suited to the system and style they are being asked to play in they are always going to look worseThe King was back for a short while. Long live The King.Comment

I agree he's surely capable of playing better than he has managed so far, and I suppose that must at least in part, if not entirely, be ascribed to the abysmal tactics of the Silver Squirrel..
