talks too much, a simple "HE IS NOT FOR SALE" would have done
Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson has admitted Wayne Rooney's desire to leave Manchester United could mean his star striker Fernando Torres is targeted by their arch-rivals.
"I think I'd have to say we'd cross that bridge when we come to it," said Hodgson when asked about the threat of United possibly trying to sign Torres.
"I am pretty sure when a great player like Wayne Rooney is looking to leave his club, Manchester United will be in a position to target an awful lot of players around the world.
"I don't think Fernando Torres would be the only player they will be targeting or [we would be] the only club worried their star striker is going to be a target.
"They will have the opportunity to replace him with many star strikers around the world, so all I can say is I am not naive to the situation.
"I am not naive enough to think there is no danger we will ever lose a player like Fernando Torres.
"I can only hope we won't and I will make certain I do everything in my power to keep him happy at the club, help him improve his current form and to get him playing for Liverpool as he has in the past."Play Ball!!!!!!!

He has to go soon.
We really do have a major problem and a very big hole to dig out of. Teams thrive on confidence and at the moment, teams see us as being there for the taking. Teams like Blackpool are now playing us with the mentality that they'll score goals if they attack us, they're not thinking about shutting us out, quite the opposite. There is no respect for this Liverpool team under Hodgson. Now, you put this together with a team as fragile as ours and its a recipe for disaster and there can only be one winner.
Its the fragile state of us combined with the attacking belief of the opposition which could see us in a real relegation battle, and it will only end with some new guidance.Last edited by Taxi; 20-10-10, 09:08 PM.Play Ball!!!!!!!

How about just slapping a £40m price-tag on Torres' head? That's basically what he's just done here. Will do wonders for Torres' confidence hearing that. Prick.
Re the players who have issues with Hodgson, it could be a number of players for various reasons. Naturally you think of Reina, Agger, Torres and Gerrard. However it could well be Johnson, Maxi, Jovanovic, Lucas, Meireles or even the likes of Babel and Pacheco. All would have their reasons.
Sooner he goes, the better. Unreal. Like he's trying to pick us apart from the inside.

We all sound like a broken record but **** me he is a whopper on a massive scale. I think i know what his game is and it should be obvious to anyone.
Roy cannot work with big star players so will force them out and replace them with the mediocre ones who will be happy and not question his **** tactics.

But aye, another bizarre comment. It's almost like his inner monologue has escaped and is intent on causing as much trouble as possible. And surely a bloke with such a pronounced speech impediment would be trying to say as little as possible, not throwing together crazy narratives that only serve to piss everybody off. The guy has clearly totally lost it.A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.
