I read somewhere they had written in his contract that if new owners came in and wanted to sack him he would get one years pay. Is it bull**** or can someone confirm this?Originally posted by spanky View PostHe won't quit because he won't get his full contract worth, he pretty much alluded to it at the press conference last Friday, so it's down to the owners. I think if we lose next week against Blackburn at anfield with the owners present, the kop will call for his head.

I read that as well, it came from either Broughton or Purslow.Originally posted by pondus View PostI read somewhere they had written in his contract that if new owners came in and wanted to sack him he would get one years pay. If he's given until December we'll be lucky to stay up.Originally posted by sssiho View PostHe'll get until December and if we are just as bad, i reckon they will get rid, install another manager and give him some money to spend in January.

Broughton said it in a recent pre take-over interview... He said that should the new owners wish to part with Roy then they had wriiten a clause in his contarct that he'd be paid a years salary within 28 days of dismissle.. So here's counting.. GET RID TODAY.. no chance really... I reckon they will go to ten games (PL)Originally posted by cream View PostI read that as well, it came from either Broughton or Purslow.
My fear is if they gave him more time and he wins a few they will allow him more time, then he'll lose a few, so when will they say enough is enough...
He has to go now before the damage is too great...

Maybe so that anyone interested in buying the club knew exactly what they were buying? It isn't always that managers get one years salary when they are sacked.Originally posted by shanks69 View Postwhen a manager gets sacked he gets payed off anyway

If he gets till December and we continue this trend, an odd win here and there and a draw or 2 along side more defeats, we'll never recover to finish in the euro places.. Getting a new manager in now we could even make a cl spot, with the way the top 5 teams are playing... a long shot but not impossible with a good run of wins..Originally posted by sssiho View PostHe'll get until December and if we are just as bad, i reckon they will get rid, install another manager and give him some money to spend in January.

Hodgson stays and we will stuggle to survive...
He has to go now...

If it costs paying off the rest of his contract so be it.
