I'll be watching. I keep thinking that I must be overstating how badly we've been playing and that I can't be that bad and I develop some level of expectation that we might click a bit in the next game and look alright. I just need that hope to be conclusively removed from my brain to make this situation more bearable.Originally posted by -V- View PostI cant bare to even look at the cunt anymore. Sack a manager that taken us to 19th in the league or keep a player that is easily worth £100m+ for the club.
I wonder what decision NESV will make.......Stop the cyberhate

from now on I will skip talking about our finances. That is a promise and will save myself from looking like a

We all want Roy out (well 98% or something), and we all want Torres to stay. I think your post may make it to Wikipedia as part of the entry for 'Stating the obvious'.Originally posted by Will View PostIf it comes to a toss up between Roy or Fernando it's Fernando who stays for me not Roy. talks too much, a simple "HE IS NOT FOR SALE" would have done
Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson has admitted Wayne Rooney's desire to leave Manchester United could mean his star striker Fernando Torres is targeted by their arch-rivals.
"I think I'd have to say we'd cross that bridge when we come to it," said Hodgson when asked about the threat of United possibly trying to sign Torres.
"I am pretty sure when a great player like Wayne Rooney is looking to leave his club, Manchester United will be in a position to target an awful lot of players around the world.
"I don't think Fernando Torres would be the only player they will be targeting or [we would be] the only club worried their star striker is going to be a target.
"They will have the opportunity to replace him with many star strikers around the world, so all I can say is I am not naive to the situation.
"I am not naive enough to think there is no danger we will ever lose a player like Fernando Torres.
"I can only hope we won't and I will make certain I do everything in my power to keep him happy at the club, help him improve his current form and to get him playing for Liverpool as he has in the past."

Roy Hodgson unfazed by talk of Fernando Torres joining United
Roy Hodgson harbours fears that Manchester United will attempt to snare Fernando Torres in the event of Wayne Rooney carrying out his threat to quit Old Trafford.
The Liverpool manager acknowledged that his club are vulnerable to an approach from their North West rivals despite no player having moved from Liverpool to Manchester United since Ted Savage in 1938 after the wing half had failed to pin down a regular place at Anfield.
Torres’s growing disenchantment with life under Hodgson at Liverpool is an open secret on Merseyside and concern is growing that the forward will seek to leave the club in either of the next two transfer windows. But, given the rivalry between the sides, it would be a significant surprise if he were to join United.
Hodgson, though, could not rule out that possibility altogether, preferring only to pledge that it was an issue that he would address if the need arose. Meanwhile, he offered hope that he could preside over a return to form for Torres, who has scored only once this season.
Sir Alex Ferguson has suggested that it would be “unthinkable” that United could sign a Liverpool player, but, alerted by Torres’s disillusionment, the manager is understood to be lining up the Spaniard as a possible replacement for Rooney.
“With Torres, I think we will cross that bridge when we come to it,” Hodgson said. “There will always be speculation. When a great player like Wayne Rooney is looking to leave his club, Manchester United will be in a position to target a lot of players around the world.
“I don’t think Fernando Torres will be the only striker they target and I don’t think that we will be the only club that will be worried their striker can be targeted. I am not naive enough to believe that there won’t be any danger and we will never lose a player like Torres. These things can happen.
“I don’t believe we will lose him. We will do our best to ensure he stays and I only hope I can do everything in my power to help him return to the very top level we know he has.”

I reckon that's become an easy excuse for Torres to go in Jan..Originally posted by Chris View PostHodgson basically refused to dismiss Torres to Man Utd like most normal people would.
Theres apparently an article by Tony B in the times that Torres wants out because of the old prick.
Form hasn't been great and unless there's a big shift in management and investment, I wouldn't be surprised to see him up sticks to Barca..
