What an achievement, we've got it on -1.
      Are we winning?

just watch us rack the goals up in the next 3 games. we'll be up to +1 in no time

a win doesnt always mean we played great and a loss doesnt always mean we played ****e.

a solid win it does look like roy is turning the corner (awful phrase) in terms of results. i hope he keeps it going. if he can and get us to fourth then go next summer i would be happy. i dont think he is the right man long term but many suspect he was a stopgap measure and if he can achieve that he will have done what he was brought in to do.

i would prefer a more pressing style of football and hope that our next manager brings that. Roy wont as he likes to drop off when we dont have the ball. It will get us to a certain point but probably not beyond that.

I dont think personal abuse towards him has been warranted nor the abuse to Rush or Rafa or anyone else. Personal abuse is different to criticism. I think there is lots to criticise Roy for but its not personal.

Also bakc to what i meant to talk about in this post. looking at weaknesses isnt only happy if we lose. thats how professional sportpeople get better. Coaches look at weaknesses and try to improve on them. Even Roy will be doing that but he wont see his system as a weakness but more likely the players not implementing it properly. Every system has weaknesses and strengths.

for me Roy isnt the long term answer and i have doubts about whether he is the short term answer replacing him is a risk especially with another stop gap appointment.

Possession wise we were not that good though. Confidence shouldn't be an issue as from now on, we've shown in the past we can control teams like Chelsea much better than what we did last night.

It was a great result and one which saves Roy's skin and buys him more time. More ambition is needed, he's still got it all to do still.

Just a note on possision...BBC has it at 56-44 in our favour, over the whole game...pretty good going, considering we were under the cosh for periods of the second half.

Hmmm. I'm not one for nit-picking, but I don't actually think that was a great save. The ball basically went underneath his body, which it hit on the way to deflect it onto the bar. Was a bit lucky in my opinion.

I have to say I find that really hard to believe. I think we need another source to back it up

Wouldn't that be beacuse you need hair to actually get nits in the first place?

To be honest, i'd agree, but often when they're that close to your body, it's hard getting down to them so he did well to get enough contact on it to send it on to the bar. Lucky, but great cos it kept our two goal lead intact.

I can safely say that they got this wrong.

Be very interested to see how Torres playes against the smaller sides from now on, not that i believe it....but some numpty just suggested he's picking and choosing his 'in form' games..performing against those that can afford to buy him... don't think you can turn it off and on like that though.
