I honestly believe if he stays the season best we could for is 10th. And thats hopeful, Truly believe we will be around mid table, but looking over our shoulder below and not above
I honestly had felt he'd be gone before Xmas but I just can't see it happening.

Perhaps being a touch negative at the moment and previously I've always been very positive on NESV and what I think they're going to do, just seeing the Jan transfer looming with Royston still in charge leaves me with no confidence at all with players coming in and just as importantly those going out (noises about Pacheco & Agger to name a couple!)

Hopefully though I am worrying about nothing and we have someone in before then!

I know he bangs on a bit, Mr Tomkins, but he's absolutely right. John W Henry has met with him and follows him on the Twitter - surely he must have passed on what we all know.Anyway....

John Henry doesn't follow him anymore! Noticed this last week on my daily check hoping he's announced Royston has been removed!

Roy denies Reds have road block

.Roy Hodgson has no worries over his Liverpool side's mentality as they go in search of only their second Premier League away win of the season.

So far, the only league victory on opposition turf has come at Bolton, and that is only the second success outside Anfield since December 29 when they beat Aston Villa.

They have an ideal chance to start putting things right against Tottenham at White Hart Lane on Sunday, especially as Spurs' record suggests they are vulnerable after playing in the Champions League in midweek.

Liverpool's last game on the road was a disappointing 2-0 defeat at Stoke, which ended a six-match unbeaten run in all competitions.

However, Hodgson - whose side returned to winning ways with victory over West Ham last weekend - said he did not think playing away from home was a problem for his players.

"The away form has been bad for a long time," said the Reds boss.

"We've had one good victory and a couple of reasonable draws but I'm afraid in this league away victories are hard to come by.

"We've not been a lucky team so far, whatever we've got we've had to battle for.

"I don't think mentality comes into it. Against Stoke we had done well against them until they scored the goal.

"Then we took the game to them and conceded a second and everyone thinks the team played badly and were battered.

"I believe if we continue to play the way we did against West Ham we may get one or two but it is the level of performance which counts.

"Results determine everything and people look at the results and then judge the performance.
"I have to judge the performance sometimes when we win and say 'That was not very good and we could do better' and sometimes when we lose I have to look at it and say it was a bad result but not as bad as all that."

Hodgson will be without captain Steven Gerrard at the weekend as he is sidelined with a hamstring tear but is hopeful Joe Cole, who has not played since October 31 with a similar problem, could return against Spurs.

The 63-year-old is also contemplating using the versatility of full-back Fabio Aurelio now the Brazilian is back to fitness, having made only his fourth appearance of the season as a substitute against the Hammers.

"He can definitely play as a left midfielder," said Hodgson.

"When we re-signed him we were thinking we needed two good left-backs at the club and that he'd be competing for one of those places in the team.

"But I saw him do very well in Trabzonspor when he moved up into midfield, and he tells me that when he was in Valencia he played in midfield very often.

"It's definitely an option. If he can stay fit then it could be a really good boost to our team.

"Already I've got him pencilled in for the game against Steaua Bucharest, so let's hope he can stay fit until then and I can see him in a 90-minute game."

        .

Shut the **** up ROy!!!!!! I have highlighted the bits in bold which he is talking ****.

While I agree about the first bit I'm not quite sure what he says which is wrong in the second. Other than an implicit vote of confidence in Konchesky as a player.

i dont get why people think that becasue JWH has spoken to and followed tomkins that he agrees with everything he says.

i still think roy will be replaced, i think end of the season. They ill do it in there own way and at there own speed.

to do it quickly brings risks and keeping roy brings risks. however if i was them i can see why they are not jumping up and down and being linked with loads of managers.

The Aurelio bit is fine IMO, playing him at LM is an option I suppose, means Konchesky will be on the pitch as well but no great shock there.

The first part is his usual jibberish, talking about away form being bad for a long time etc.... the point is that this was in the past under a different manager, is he saying he can't change things then!

              Comment

The first bit is **** but the second part makes sense, especially his assessment that Aurelio can play left midfield. He played left midfield a few times (even centrally) while Benitez was there.
                Are we winning?

                  Seems a reasonable position.

The real worry is that where we finish this season and the mood within the camp could well have long term effects. I can't see top class players like Torres wanting to stay too long without CL football which they could undoubtedly get elsewhere.

Roys failure to understand that away wins are useful and attainable make the task of a top four position harder to attain. It also appears that Hodgson wants to compound the problem of top players potentially wanting out by looking to sell very talented ones like Agger.

Perhaps because we were battered Roy. It's amazing how far off the mark his recollections of some of our way performances have been.

No gob****e.....YOUR away form has been bad for a long time....Our's was ok till you came along

"We've had one good victory and a couple of reasonable draws but I'm afraid in this league away victories are hard to come by.

****ING HELL - REASONABLE DRAWS - REASONABLE haha - really drawing against wigan was reasonable - because i thought it was ****ing embarrasing especially after we played them off the park for 10 mins then stopped and made charles nzogbia look like maradona for 80 mins!

"We've not been a lucky team so far, whatever we've got we've had to battle for.

i'm not sure luck comes into it roy......so is he basically saying - we are relying on luck to win games hahaha

"I don't think mentality comes into it. Against Stoke we had done well against them until they scored the goal.

come on - your winding us up now.....we were dreadful against stoke from the 1st minute

"Then we took the game to them and conceded a second and everyone thinks the team played badly and were battered.

ah....i see roy - what you mean in the above comment is....you were happy drawing against stoke...it is reasonable to draw isnt it.......and you admit that only once stoke scored.....that we tried then tried to score.....got it now

"I believe if we continue to play the way we did against West Ham we may get one or two but it is the level of performance which counts.

****ing hell - Well i'll agree that....if we play West Ham every week we might win the league - but that result is nothing to scream about - West Ham only have one player, Scott Parker, and without him they're ****ed - CArlton Cole has come out and said they were beaten before the game had started because of how ****ed up they're are....plus roy I was at the game - first half fair enough we had some bright spells - second half against a team we shold have put another two past - well was just a dire 45 minutes

"Results determine everything and people look at the results and then judge the performance.
"I have to judge the performance sometimes when we win and say 'That was not very good and we could do better' and sometimes when we lose I have to look at it and say it was a bad result but not as bad as all that."

right - now i totally understand how roy works.....

if we win....ok, but we can improve
if we lose....we battled hard but got now luck
but if we draw....it is REASONABLE

Regarding Aurelio - well konchesky is so ****ing ****e i can't believe it - but i think what roy might be trying to say is.....whilst Bombscare is ****e.....Jovanovic is a Tsunami, and that Aurelio might be on option on the left mid fair enough

really though - i hate him - he's a middle tier manager - the comment i keep going back to sums roy up for me....about two weeks maybe more, when he said something along the lines off...

"i have to be really careful what i say because here the fans jump all over every little thing" - no roy......the difference is, at fulham blackburn or Qatar or wherever the **** else he has been - you can say what you want and nobody gives a ****e because noone is listening.....but here, at liverpool, a big club - people hear everything

“We have to be happy with that but we are not stupid. We know that if you go to Tottenham it could be two defeats in nine but if we play like we did against West Ham we can make sure Tottenham don’t have a cake-walk.”

It's like he doesn't realise he's managing LFC, still back at Fulham where as long as you give it a go it's alright!

Talk like that does nothing to inspire fans or infact players we can go there and get a result!

                            - so do i - it's got to a point where i just hate everything - this has never happened to me so fast with a liverpool manager - and the worry is (maybe unfairly now) I can't see anything that hodgson can do or say that will change my opinion of him

he may even now and then speak some sense but **** it, i'll pick holes in that too!!!

                            - Lets just look at what he has said here

one defeat in eight is good - but if we lose too tottenham it will be 2 defeats in 9

well guess what dickhead - we already have two defeats in the last nine....in fact - it's 3 defeats in the last 10......if we lose to spurs, it's 4 defeats in the last 11.

another way too look at it roy - is we have iirc - 5 wins from our last 14 games in all competitions and if we lose to Spurs it will be 5 wins from 15.....

And one other thing....Why the **** is he even mentioning losing to spurs on sunday!!!!! - it's almost like he has got his excuse in early - he's basically saying - look, we've only lost 1 in 8 so if we lose to spurs it's not too bad.
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do
