Not having a connection with the first team squad is probably a good thing though and he obviously knows whats happening at the club even if he is working at the academy. We have enough coaches there anyway, I don't think it would be too damaging to the Academy to lose him for a few months.Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostHe works with the young lads. He has no connection with the first team squad. He isn't even the reserve team coach. Keep him with the young lads, no need to unsettle them.

Well if we don't want to split them up, he can bring the Academy lads with him and we can give them a go against Utd. Worth a shot at the moment.Originally posted by -V- View PostNot having a connection with the first team squad is probably a good thing though and he obviously knows whats happening at the club even if he is working at the academy. Then I don't want 'em.Originally posted by SimonNo7 View PostI agree with you completely but football isn't like it used to be and for some players, playing for Liverpool or any team isn't about the shirt, heritage or hero's of the past like the King, it's just a job or a way of making obscene amounts of money for not doing a great deal i'm afraid.
We've lost our way, we lost it back in the 90's with the spice boys who cared more about glamming up to the media than the club, and refinding it we need to go back to players who love the club and want to play for it, who hurt when the club hurts.
I'd rather see us finish 7th looking like we want to win every match than finish 5th looking like we don't give a **** anymore.
I'm over piss weak bottling performances, and I don't care who they are, Kenny can come in as the litmus test, any left unmotivated, clean them out. Give 'em a kick on the arse in case the door doesn't hit 'em.
I'd hope they'd be few and far between but once he's in there. If I'm wrong, I still want 'em out.

Why get him in when we could just get someone else in though? Someone like Dalglish or Thommo?Originally posted by -V- View PostNot having a connection with the first team squad is probably a good thing though and he obviously knows whats happening at the club even if he is working at the academy. I think the sooner people realise this was the case as early as May last year, the better. As long as we don't get religated is all that's required. Give up on getting 4th, and forget even trying to get into the abstraction of the Europa cup. Next season we'll need as much focus as possible.Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostI've been very critical of NESV.
But in fairnes to them, they should only be judged in September. Let's see who we have in charge then and who is in our playing squad.
....This season is dead.....

People will continue to make excuses for fsg no matter what happens. However, actions speak louder than words. The fact remains Roy should absolutely not be leading our team this sunday (especially if he has competely lost the dressing room) yet he will. People are claiming the fans are being impatient. Well, I don't think FSG have helped matters either.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostIt because they're American. They just can't quite make themselves see that the decision is simply to keep Roy - lose to Utd, or sack Roy - stuff Utd therein making the caretaker manager king of Wirralshire.
In football you should always be prepared for the unexpected. Not everything goes to plan and at times you may need to make decisions that you had not planned to make. I think we've reached the stage where Roy really needs to go. .
It does appear Roy's position is completely untenable. Having said that I cannot for the life of me see us sacking Roy if we beat utd on Sunday. It just won't happen.imo. The owners would get absolutely slaughtered in the media.

Id be quite happy with Dalglish and Thommo till the summer. Thommo did a good job covering for Ged last time and he has the passion.Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostWhy get him in when we could just get someone else in though? Someone like Dalglish or Thommo?
Im just saying that Jose Segura could be an alternative option for caretaker because he does have experience and does know the club
