    Sky & the General Media

Seeing that they are putting the boot in defense of Hodgson, saying that Rafa left us in a mess blah blah blah, can't we do something about this, a bit like the internet campaign instigated to get rid of Hicks!?

It's really getting beyond the point of pure Xenophobia and as Liverpool fans, we should stick up for Rafa and give them a bit of our medicine. This can't carry on forever.

    Any suggestions?
    Are we winning?

I was reading that and looking forward to reading your suggestion, at the end of the post.

Needless to say, this feeling was very temporary

Just read that Noel Gallagher's jumped on the bandwagon now.

Suggest we forget about Rafa for the time being, he's doing ok at Inter and we should focus on the future which currently ain't looking too rosy.

I am sure Rafa would agree we need to worry about what's going on with LFC and not Rafa, he'll be ok!

No offence intended mate and i could be wrong but i think this is more based around your disliking of Redknapp and the other pundits rather than the defence of Rafa?

But this can't carry on. Hodgson is a dead man walking, have been for a long time. He'll take care of himself by jogging on soon enough.

This is a campaign based on lies and complete & utter drivel. Rafa's not even here to defend himself.

I know what you mean and the ****e that is being put out there is pure drivel but defending Rafa is pointless, he's gone and we all know he's 100 times the manager our Woy is!

We need to focus on getting ourselves out of this hole i.e. Woy is removed and replaced with someone capable of getting us back to where we should be.

The media have their opinions and they're entitled to them. I don't understand the hang ups tbh. If you are manager of lfc for 5 years and leave them in 7th position you will get criticism, regardless of off field matters.

Hodgson is starting to have the tide turned on him now, he's only hanging on due to a short tenure and having not been able to make his own mark on the squad.

I think some of the opinions held by the media are valid. Given cash Roy would bring in his own players and we would get better. My problem is it wouldn't be good enough and it wouldn't be good to watch.

And you have to remember, rafa was disliked by the managers and disliked by the press. If that is the case you'll never get any favours when times are hard. If hodgson had Been a **** to the press he'd be under huge pressure of the media, but then, he would never have got the job either.
                        Forwards.......

This thread is not about the rights and wrongs of Benitez, it's about fronting the absolute tosh being rehashed by the media at the moment.

I'd have accepted if their arguments were based on something tangible. Have you read what Jamie ****ing Redknapp have been saying about foreign coaches today!?

If you aren't furious against this then you don't care and I just don't know what to say to be honest.

A huge reason why the SKY are not turning against Hodgson is that he is managing LFC exactly in the same way a SKY managed team would do.

Hodgson symbolizes Sky's view of football.

There's a post on RAWK tonight that at one point says "it feels like we're watching the first ever LFC manager appointed by Sky Sports"

Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
