Providing we get a top class manager in, I think we could climb the table very fast if we act quick.

It's quite an open league this year, no one is really taking it by the scruff of the neck at all. Despite our awful league standing it's still fairly tight.

Get a new manager in, lift the gloom in the dressing room, win a couple of games on the bounce, get Torres firing again and things could be so, so different so fast.

Look at what happened with Tottenham when they sacked Ramos and hired Redknapp, they flew up the table. I think, :shudders:, we need to use Spurs as an example here.

The key for me is we need to act really fast and get the right man in as soon as possible. With the positivity over the new owners I think hiring a good new manager could hugely lift both the fans, and the players and I wouldn't even rule out challenging for a top 4 finish, that's how much difference I think it could potentially make.

We're not that bad a side, and the other teams up there really aren't that good.

It was meant to be a more positive thread about how quickly we can improve, and that I can see some really big positives in our current predicament.

Completey agree with every word.. I said similar in another thread.. I truly hope the club will act sooner rather than later.. Why wait until Demember/January my feeling is that will be to late..

We need a new manager in asap, so he can set his sights on new targets for the next window, not leave it until the last min and not having time to address the problems..

I can't see him being around for much longer if we lose at home to Blackburn... considering we might have had a bad night in Europe before Sunday's game.

Not worried at all. Hodgson wont last much longer and a new coach will improve us obviously. We lost about 5 or 6 league games by the end of october last year and we finished 7th. So im not worried, we will fix this managerial problem

How long will it take NESV to realise the wrong man is in charge? That is the issue here. They need to change thinks straight away and give Kenny the best opportunity to salvage this season. We can still get something out of this season, but only if we act now!!

History is littered with teams that were 'too good to go down'. Forest in Cloughie's last season springs immediately to mind - sold Sheringham and didn't have the firepower despite playing some great football. We need to start picking up points quickly before the table starts to get settled - as Everton have shown a couple of times in the last ten years, if you're still down there by the end of November it's bloody difficult to get clear of it.

We won't get relegated, but if Roy stays much longer I'm sure he'll try his darnedest. That being said, I can't see any wins in the foreseeable future so I hope that spells his end. He could watch us lose each and every game playing like a blind fools and he'll try and justify it as good football.
