something like that - right, i've made this point a few times already this season - but we just have such a lack of footballers it's untrue - i mean technical sound players, who can control the ball, see a pass, and deliver it, - yes you need a mixturte of players - you need your carraghers in a side that would fight for every inch, or your kuyts that will work non stop.....but u also need players like agger, gerrard, cole, torres and from what i have seen so far meireles - even youngsters like pacheco and shelvey - who are capable of 'forward thinking', trying to find attacks, keep possesion etc etc


That starting XI has ONE footballer in the side (well maybe two as reina is our most creative player at times ) - and thats Joe Cole who has admitted he's in the worst form of his career

I'll lay off ngog - he's young, has shown he can score goals, and he shouldn't be 2nd choice to torres - he should be 3rd choice with less of a burden on his shoulders. - but the rest of them **** me that is dire.

Where are the goals/attacks/football/possesion/slick passing/movement into space going to come from

I am afraid that playing in this side will not help Cole getting back to form.

1 goal in the scoreline but we were outplayed for long periods of the game and only got into it for 1 or two 10 minute periods. The rest of the game was there's and they dominated possession. We were making their average defenders look like ****ing Maradona or something at times.

Roy is playing it safe though, not having a full strength squad and will no doubt use a weakened team, so any result can then be blamed on lack of squad strength opposed to him being incapable.

Sure, they aren't great but they definitely do have some class players. Lavezzi , Cavani and Hamsik should rip our defence and DM to shreds. God, Poulsen... Still embarrassed I tried to defend Roy for signing him at the time.

Regardless, I'm quite down about this, and the Europa League is even more unappealing for me.

Quite typical for him. He never takes any responsibility for his managing skills. It will be Rafa's fault again and this time around he may mention H&G.

Relax everyone, Roy is a dead man walking. He'll be gone after the Napoli game and before Sunday.

Something else to consider for the .1% who actually want Roy to get more time is say he gets it, say he turns it around and makes eveything alright it still won't be good enough.
Roy's tactics working 100% well might get us top 10 in the PL so next time someone suggests 'he needs more time' or 'it isn't the Liverpool way' 'we support our managers' just tell them that Roy's best will never be good enough.

Absolutely. We play with no heart or soul. He should be playing our youngsters (no Pacheco again ). At least we would see some desiire to impress.

but it's the same issue i had with playing the youngsters with poulsen, jovanovic, babel and co - ffs roy - give the young lads something.

Now whilst i totally understand the need to rest the key players for Sunday - moving forward, in the league as much as anything - i can't see any other way forward than playing reina, carragher, agger, aurelio,gerrard,merieles, cole, with say kelly, wilson, shelvey and pacheco thrown in - 4 young hungry talented players given the cnahce to sign alongside the half dozen or so footballers we have - and **** - who knows - players like torres and cole might suddenly **** their pants and awake from their slumber when the realise they have a couple of kids well up for it - instead of a load of headless chickens
