"It is a worry that Roy Hodgson believes his methods from Fulham can be replicated with the same “success” at a bigger club, he has shown a distinct lack of flexibility and understanding of how to manage the Liverpool squad and adapt his methods to players at his disposal. "

More than just a worry I would say.

'In the first 20 minutes Liverpool only passed the ball from inside Everton's half two times.'
'This match was not lost on accounts of lack of passion or any of that nonsense, it’s just simply that Liverpool were hindered by Roy Hodgson’s overly defensive and negative system that has continually negated the attacking talents of this Liverpool side.'

'Keeping with the terminology of the recent CSR, such a deep-line has a multiplier effect. Firstly, as mentioned already, it allows Everton plenty of time to and space to find a teammate because of the space available to them. Secondly, when Liverpool win the ball-back, they’re starting from a deeper position without an obvious out-ball – this is because the midfielders are now so deep that passing the ball to them will place them in a precarious position where they will immediately be put under pressure. With midfielders now deeper to help protect the back-four, it leads to a huge a gap between them and the forward line meaning the direct ball to the centre forward will be fruitless. However, such route one ideas are the only sure-fire way of relieving the pressure and Liverpool often went long, an act that fans do not revere to. '
Moyes: “After we got the second goal, I was happy to concede possession to Liverpool. It wasn`t a problem. They haven`t been scoring"
Depressing but nothing we dont know really. How can everyone but the Hodge realise his prehistoric tactics arent working!??!
Dont really know why i picked the above points out...Roy aint gonna be reading.'Religion is killing each other over who has the best imaginary friend'

This article is very true but i do remember last season the amount of posession we had in our own half, side to side, side to side, Carra to Skrtel,Skrtel to Carra, Carra to Masch, Masch to Lucas, Lucas to Masch, Masch to Skrtel, Skrtel to Carra, Carra hoofs the living **** out of it and gives away possession.'In the first 20 minutes Liverpool only passed the ball from inside Everton's half two times.'

We play ****e football and have done for years, our players are horribly uncomfortable and slow on the ball, we panic if we get more than a 4 string of passes together. Watching the likes of Arsenal,Chelsea and even the Mancs & Spurs, we look like an U 12's team.
Under Roy its got even worse, team is peppered with sub standard players (some donkeys) with zero technique and skill, these attributes completely sacrificed for a workmen-like attitude.
In short, we cannot play football.

Benitez's teams at least pressed the ball higher up the pitchOriginally posted by danperkins View PostThis article is very true but i do remember last season the amount of posession we had in our own half, side to side, side to side, Carra to Skrtel,Skrtel to Carra, Carra to Masch, Masch to Lucas, Lucas to Masch, Masch to Skrtel, Skrtel to Carra, Carra hoofs the living **** out of it and gives away possession.

Hodgsons tactics are just to concede ground / possession and defend the box for your lifeBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

Slightly higher but not by much, although we did have some sort of shape last season. And your spot on about Roy's tactics, it invites teams on us and when your defence is as ****e as ours is that is a recipe for disaster.Originally posted by Lecter View PostBenitez's teams at least pressed the ball higher up the pitch

Utter ignorant bollocks. Rafa's tactics are a million miles from Roy's and we were far more attacking and played much further up the pitch.Originally posted by danperkins View PostSlightly higher but not by much, although we did have some sort of shape last season. What LDP don't seem to understand at all is that every team that have a fantastic attacking play have that because they have a fantastic defensive play to build up the attacks from.
Barcelona is a fantastic attacking team because of their fantastic defensive play. Without the fantastic ball winning tactic they would be pretty team to watch but would most probably win nothing.
It's thanks to that they win the ball back so quickly that they get a lot of possession and create a lot of chances.
We had almost as much possession in our home games as teams as Barcelona, Arsenal etc....
We had that thanks to that we hunted down the opponent all over the pitch, just like Barcelona. The difference between us with Rafa and Barcelona is really only down to that they had better attacking players and more creative players.
Our tactic with Rafa and Barcelona's tactic are almost the same. Win back the ball back as soon as possible and build the attacking play thanks to that.
The defensive play will ALWAYS be the reason to a good attacking play. You simply can't only have a good attacking play, then you would win nothing.Stop the cyberhate

from now on I will skip talking about our finances. That is a promise and will save myself from looking like a
