Yes, Stevie giving Nando the ball to protect in the corner against **** house Blackburn was a very bad idea.

Spirits lifted ever so slightly, just hope the win doesn't contribute to an extended stay for Hodgson.

60 minutes or so of decent football but the last half hour we started going back into our shell.

Good result, my opinion of needing a new manager still stands as it probably does with most on here.

I reckon he'll last until March. He'll waste all our cash and when his signings make no difference to our play he'll get the boot.

ATM it seems people are listening to the White lie that it's all Rafas fault for leaving a ****e squad, when it is far from being poor.
            Forwards.......

So happy we got the 3 points, wasn't a miraculous performance where you would say all is forgiven Roy but sure another 3 points in next game and we could go jump 5 or 6 places, nice to get some wins before the Chelsea game in Anfield. Wins like this do prolong Roy's position but sure i'm still delighted with the result.

It feels good that we can win, but there are still a ****load of issues which need over coming. Even though this was head and shoulders our best performance of the season, we still went through a 15 minute period where we were disastrous, Konchesky is still a time bomb waiting to explode, the Greek is basically our only genuine goal threat etc.

Glad that Poulsen seems to have lost his place for the time being. May it be permanent.

its good to pick up 3 points, but this result is like papering overing the cracks with tracing paper.

Nothing has changed, Roy still has to go.

Mind you neither Lucas or Poulsen are good enough but though Lucas done well today. Be nice to see Aurelio being fit and stepping in ahead of The Konch.

Really pleased with result but how many times did Konchesky and Miereles give the damn ball away?

Maxi had one his best games for us and I am made up for Torres. Not only because he scored but he looked like the Torres of old, being involved, chasing down defenders and it felt good to hear the Kop singing his song again.

Lets kickstart from here now and get a few more wins under our belt.

                        Thought he played well TBH.

                          Positive

                          Welcome back Liverpool F.C.
At last, a performance worth watching. Yes, we had a brief spell in the second half where we gave the ball away too easily, but overall it was a very positive display. Every player was looking for the forward pass, Torres looked interested, even Maxi played well!! Lets keep it going.

The only ones that matter are NESV - if it's true that that some of our players have come out saying they want to leave and unhappy with Roys tactics they will listen and act.

The last thing they'll want to do is lose some of our most marketable players, they've just spent a lot of cash on buying us and will want to ensure they can maximise them to increase revenues, if it means they need to change the coach I'd expect them to make the change.

75 minutes of fairly decent stuff. Pressed well, created plenty plenty of chances, Torres looked sharper, better interplay in the middle and reasonable possession.

Then a horrific last 15 -20 minutes. No pressing, no creativity, edgy, nervous and inept. WTF are we turning into when we try to keep the ball in the corner against the likes of Blackburn. Blackburn are an awful team/ They gave us so much space and time and seemed to have no interest in attacking us. A poor, poor barometer against which to demonstrate whether we are making any progress.

And Konchesky. **** me, he's awful! I'd have Insua back in a flash. He's an accident waiting to happen.

Major pluses. We won, we looked decent (although that's probably down to the opposition) and Poulson stayed off the pitch.
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

First time I have seen a decent performance from the team since the Arsenal game. We played well, created quite a few chances and we actually pressed them high on the pitch this game.

Could one go so far to say that Hodgson have learned from recent performances? Guess we will know in the coming games!

Hopefully we can build on this and start getting some results. Blackburn were quite poor today, but we also made it hard for them.
