I have no facts or inside info but I reckon that was Roy's last game, hence the change in mood of the players and performance. Maybe they just ignored his tactics and just played to their strengths as they know he is gone

    Fingers crossed

TBH I thought pretty much the same, then the last 15 minutes reminded me that such a thought was pure dellusion and were stuck with old chicken neck for a while longer.

I thought Meireles was okay today, he did have a few dodgy moments but overall he put in a solid shift. I do have concerns about him though, I don't really think he's good enough at what he does to be a Liverpool midfielder, although saying that he is an improvement on our other current options. Thing is if he had Mascherano playing behind him, and Gerrard playing infront of him then I wouldn't have a problem with him as his role would be minimal and he'd do it effectively. But the thing is he's not good enough defensively or creative enough in attack for me to justify signing him at the fee that we paid. He's basically Danny Guthrie on steroids.

People can talk about his attributes like his shooting from range etc, but if you look at his goalscoring record it's nothing to write home about, and having seen him a lot at Porto I can tell he isn't afraid of having a go and will belt a lot of long shots haplessly wide. It's early days and he will certainly be decent but I don't know if he'll really justify himself in the long run.

I very much doubt one good performance would make NESV change their mind if a decision to change manager has been already made.

I have a sneaking feeling nothing will be done until we get a CEO in and I expect the CEO to be a football person who will then direct the board accordingly in regards to Hodgson

Bolton away and then Chelsea at Anfield.

Realistically we're not going to win either of those, which will leave us in the bottom three after almost a third of the season.

                    Oh dear.

I doubt they have made that decision tbh. Seems to be just Internet bluster.

Not a fan but what is Kenyon up to these days ? Just thinking who's about with the experience we'd like in the club.

Good 60 mins desperate 30 mins. Hope Roy can sort it out.

Every chance we could beat Bolton, they're nothing special. We should have sacked Roy after the derby. He'll be hanging on for a while now
