Will any manager ever try Johnson at right mid? I think he would have done well with all that space. Maxi had a decent game mind. I wold love to see Kelly and Johnson linking up the right someday. And Kelly can defend, unlike Johnson.

IMO Johnson is our best attacking threat going forward on the right side and at moment Kelly seems like our strongest option defensively at RB.

Kelly needs game time, apart from a few minor mistakes which is bound to happen, he has looked an excellent prospect. Ads for Johnson has been nothing short of appalling defensively, the lad has no positional sense and lacks awareness. Watching MOTD2 there few weeks back and Dixon & Hansen (2 sensational defenders in their day) were highlighted Johnson's mistakes and not only his mistakes his body positioning, they said for a defender it was all wrong. Love to see him allowed to burst forward, he has great delivery when he gets up the pitch an dis a powerful runner, without the defensive chains on i reckon he'd be so much better and we might finally justify that ludicrous transfer fee.

Anyways IMO it makes perfect sense and i'd love to see it happening.

P.S. Comparison between Bale & Johnson IMO, Johnson has average pace but is strong, has decent technique and nice delivery which we desperately need and which Torres si crying out for. Whereas Bale is a natural athlete, ridiculous pace,power and engine and he is more direct than Johnson, and certainly more dynamic than Johnson. But Johnson could offer us just as much IMO, just in a different way.

Soto will keep England's Kevin Davies quiet

The big Greek simply has to start on Sunday - Kevin Davies is a handful to say the least and the Greek is best equipped to deal with him compared to our other centre backs.
Furthermore he was our stand out performer against Blackburn so he deserves to keep his place.

If we can keep Davies and the in form Elmander quiet then i'm confident we can nick a win here, the Reebok's always a tough place to go but we've got some good wins there over the years and here's hoping we build on the performance and win last Sun

I'm not confident of getting the win either, far from it but with Cole, Gerrard and Torres in the team we can always do damage.

It's hard not to feel that the Blackburn result has papered over the cracks somewhat. Well though we played Blackburn were utterly shocking and turned up with a team and performance perfectly tailored to boost our moral. Bolton on the other hand will smell blood, remember the performances we have put in almost every other game this season and fancy the three points... Can old man Hodgson set up a team to go out and stifle a better than most seasons Bolton whilst proving enough of a threat to take all three points... I really don't think so.

We had Cole Gerrard and Torres in the team for games before Blackburn, and looked utterly woeful.

If Hodgson utilises his usual dire tactics, even having Messi, Ronaldo and Iniesta on the pitch wouldnt help us.

My sunday league team a few years ago had a centre back - spitting image of that tubes from Soccer Am - he was about 6 foot 4, over weight, no real co-ordination - and despite his height advantage - he couldn't head the ball -

What would regularly happen is - a long ball forward, he would always let the ball bounce - which is rule no.1 in defending - don't let the ball bounce. - When the ball bounced all hell would let loose - the other centre half would panic, the keeper would panic, he wouldn't know where he was, it was a cluster **** that usually resulted in their centre forward finding the ball at his feet and an open goal.

I could only describe the scene as a bomb going off - as the long ball was launched forward it was like B52 bomber had just dropped a 1000lb bomb towards his head, and the second the ball(bomb) touched the ground - all hell let loose.

As well as this, he had the touch of a rapist, and we soon realised the only logically explanation is he was scared off the ball....imagine someone pulling the pin out of a grenade and threw it to you to catch - that's what he looked like when a football went near him

Thus we called him bombscare
