What makes yous think that about Shelvey when we have only seen him play centrally and Meireles has played out wide a few times? Is that how they have set up in training?
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I could be mistaken, but I think he played on the right at some stage in a previous Europa game.

You could well be right. Despite watching them all I could barely tell you what has happened in any of our Europa games as my pre match preparation usually involves getting as drunk as possible to make the match as bearable as possible. I usually plan to watch a replay if it turns out a good game or any of the kids shine, but that has yet to happen thus far.

Have I missed something blindingly obvious but why can Torres not play? He played against Utrecht so is obviously in the squad.

Resting for Sunday. Besides, N'Gog is our top scorer, thanks mainly to this competition.

So presumably we'll see Meireles revert to right midfield and have a central pairing of Spearing and Poulsen

I'd have thought a game like this is the best chance to boost his confidence, although Ngog deserves to play

                    Hmm, that it?

I assumed it was something else as the BBC doesn't even include him in the "from" list on the match preview page.

Can't see Ngog scoring against Napoli, to be honest. Hope I wrong but I just don't see it.

Why not? He's scored against Arsenal, United, PSV. Why not Napoli?

People think that's Roy's first choice pairing at the minute, or might he be saving Skrtel for Chelsea?

Soto is on the fringe of my fantasy football team and I can't afford another non-starter with Nani, VDV and Malouda all out.

Well to put it bluntly, in my opinion, he's crap.

When you are only playing one out-and-out striker you really cant afford to have such a couldn't-hit-a-cows-arse-with-a-banjo strike ratio.

It may be decent this season but most of that has been against very weak opposition (discounting the fact we lost to one of them .

I do think Agger is our most cultured cb when fit but not sure whether he will be for Sunday, it would be a surprise if Agger starts on Sun I think. I may find out sometime saturday so will post in the Chelsea build up thread if I do.
