I was merely commenting on your assumption that he was the 'Lucas of 2010/11'. While I understand what you mean, Lucas is a far better player.

You'd give stick to a mediocre 31 year old instead of a 22 year old with a future in front of him. Poulsen doesn't need any excuses - he's old and experienced enough and he's not good.

I feel for him a bit though. No one wants to see someone struggle like this, but for that we must thank Hodgson for bringing him here when he's clearly past it.

aye as it looks now Lucas is a better player, but I still think both of them get /got a lot of unwarrented stick as a scapegoat for what really is a dysfunctional team / poor team performances. Lucas was the main target last season and Poulsen is the target this season.

I have to say other than a bit of verbal diarrhea that was the only part of the interview that I would criticise. FFS it's only Wigan.

The rest of it was a slightly over honest but fundamentally well meaning defense of his player. I'd like Poulsen to come good too, I can't see it mind.
