All managers are under pressure, that's the nature of the job. At a club like Liverpool with it's thirst for success, the pressure is intensified.
Rafa knows this, this is a non-story with made up alleged comments.

    Rafa loves pressure

Bascombe is bang on. Let's flush out the moron and show Rafa that this is not Valencia.

You're close to the Directors Box Al , can't you just abuse Noel White and see how he reacts?

Take it easy folks The Mirror - ****e and the article was written by the man who said sven was going to west ham. This is so out of character for LFC that it must be a complete fabrication.

This was my initial thought as well, but the article by Bascombe and statement from Parry seem to suggest that it isn't a fabrication at all.

Coming out and criticising Rafa for over-spending seems to be judging Rafa by Houllier's mistakes, ignoring the fact that it is only October and so players haven't fully settled, and the fact that Rafa has earned the right to spend money and has earned time through the success he has brought the club.

Whoever made the comments is clearly a moron who has no idea about how to run any kind of business, never mind a football club.

Rafa hasn't overspent in comparison to GH, and criticising the mager is not the lFC way. These moronic comments, I think, are more readily laid at the door of the press rather than a business man.

Why would a board member come out and say this now, when the boradahs been silent during more difficult times?

Maybe Bascombe and the club are setting this up to be used the basis for a fortress mentality - Look at what the press are doing now lads, get out there and hammer villa, etc etc.

I may be wrong, but this feels fishy to me.

Felt fishy to me too mate from the beginning, what has swayed me into thinking these are genuine comments is the articles from Bascombe and the statement from Parry. No smoke without fire, and it seems to me Parry in particular is trying to put out the fire.

I do see what you say though, this can be used to galvanise the club, and show Rafa and the boys how much support they have from the fans and the boar.

I'd bet money on it being White as well

Rafa won't take this lying down either.

He said: "I have too much respect for the club and for the board to talk about this. I prefer to speak about it in private."

I hope he demands to find out which idiot it was and ask him why he didn't confront him face to face.
