I don't think I can every recall a player putting more misplaced passes than Meireles has - his passing ability is woeful. Can't believe we paid £11m for him.

Bit of a dodgy last 20, i know Meireles hasn't been great by by jesus he is having a shocker, his distribution is criminal, Lucas not having good game either blessed with that offside goal, and Wigan are controlling the midfield. Maxi needs to do more, the guy has to impose himself more on games. Nzogbia is the danger man as we all knew, he's having a great game.

I'd be inclined to drop Kuyt in RM, bit more comfortable there than Meireles and can help Kelly out. Stick Meireles behind Torres and if he doesn't improve whip him off for Ngog. One nil is too dodgy, we can't sit deep the whole game its asking for trouble.

Its very worrying isn't it....
He's given the busy, busy impression in most of the games he's played for us, but some of the basics seem to be completely missing from his game.
I mean he's an experienced player, he's not some young lad coming to a strange country still finding his way in the game.
Willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, but the way he's playing at the moment means he's more than a liability.
