Yes, he wasn't as bad as Konchesky, but no, that doesn't make him good enough.
He wasn't bad but he wasn't good enough either but it was his first full season and he was forced to play in almost every game because of injuries.

Do you really expect a young fullback to be able to play in every game in such a tough league as the PL without getting tired?

He ran up and down the wing like a mad man. Almost never stood still. He joined the attacks and was back defending. Do you really expect a young player to be able to cope doing that week in week out without getting tired?

If Rafa would have been able to rest him say every third game or so then he would have been able to play much better. Now he was only able to show say 70%-80% of his ability because he was to tired to be able to show 100%.

He needed a rest a few times but that was a thing Rafa couldn't do because of injuries. He had to play Insua because he was our only available left back.

I'm not Konchesky's biggest fan but he's miles better then Insua.
No hes not hes ****ing crap

For every James Harper there is a Seamus Coleman

I'd Say Konchesky is pretty ****ing average but still miles better then the last two left backs. That's how highly I rated them.

You simply can't judge a young player after only one season in the PL. Give him three four years and you can then judge him.

Many young players been slated being not good enough or crap after the first season and then got better and better and suddenly after he learned the league and get used to play in the PL then he is suddenly good enough.

Many young players have had excellent first seasons and then played less good the next one and then better again the following season.

To say for sure that Insua isn't good enough is simply bull**** because no one know that. He didn't get the time needed to show if he is good enough or not.

You can say that he didn't play good enough but not that he isn't good enough.

If you for sure can say that he isn't good enough, then, congratulations you are indeed the best scout in the world ever.

The thing is though that Roy isn't a great manager for young players. Perhaps on a personal level the loan might be good for Insua. Hopefully he will come back with a season of first team football behind him and kick on.

While I think he is in many ways a better player than Konchesky even now I'm not sure that he wouldn't have been even more exposed than last season to balls in the air. Our strategy this season encourages teams to look to play balls into those areas and if we form two banks of four one natural approach is to test the full backs aerially if you think they are weak in that way.

That said when Villa tried that against him last season he stood up to it. Perhaps it would have been the making of him but I personally doubt it.

There's the worry - he's out of contract at the end of the season

I'd say PFK is ****ing terrible and far worse than our last two fullbacks

Thats how little I rate him

He's actually playing less for Galatasary than he did for us

Me too. Don't think it's anything to do with short memories. Many of us were saying the same things in the summer. PFK is atrocious.

Looking at a link I could barely comprehend it looked like he had been starting in their more recent games. Do you have a good link for the stats or watch the league?

He's started six games for them and has had a sub appearance for Argentina.

And believe me thats some achievement when you look at the ****ing ****e we have had playing there

At the moment I think Julian Dicks was worse however there's still time to change my mind.
