I think we will see Deadly Dirka Dirka on the right of midfield to cover Johnson and to nulify the threat from Bale, meaning 4-4-2.

Other than Lucas coming in for Poulsen, I think it will be the same as West Ham.

But Spurs won't bend over like West Ham did for us, we're going to have to up our game.

Oh, and pepper the goal - Gomes is *****e*.

      Misses chances? Everyone does that!

Have a look at N'Gog's goals/minutes ratio. I think it'd suggest he is prolific.
He's doing ok generally, but it's true that he did **** all against West Ham. I checked out the chalkboard for that game and he didn't leave much of a footprint in any category. He could have at least conceded some freekicks and got some kind of stats. I think 4-4-2 vs Spurs would be a mistake.

Those stats are promising enough to make him a worthy member of the squad. He's only 21 FFS sake.
A worthy squad member, yes - a first team starter, no.

I don't think he'll ever play regularly for a club with Champions League football.

He'll have to do for now.
Wildly misleading figure. Of those '49' apps, he's started 28 games.

Well yes, but as a 21 year old kid who's learning his trade, he's a good prospect for us. Nobody's saying he SHOULD be our 2nd choice striker.

Doesnt have to mean 442 i guess - could play Kuyt wide right and Joe Cole off Torres.

Possibly, but i fear going 4231 would just turn into 4-5--------1 and Torres would get totally isolated...again.

                  what was Torres stats' like?

Lets face it, if you are an attacker and unless you are a lump you dont really have much chance to flourish under Roy.

                    This is true.

I just think Hodgson is set on 4-4-2 now, regardless of the personnel.

Plus 4-5-1 under Roy is 4-5-1 whether attacking or defending, meaning Torres is isolated. The thought of Huddlestone and Jenas bossing the midfield makes me throw up a little sick in my mouth.

Play Dirk at RM and N'Gog is actually a first choice starter for our team

Shocking that we let it get that bad. Even if we play just one up top we should still have at the very least three strikers, ideally four with one being able to play off the striker to cover for Stevie.

This is why Torres gets injured. Because to not play him means a MASSIVE drop in class and a struggle to get a result. So whether he is 50% fit or 100% fit, he still starts as long as he's able to walk.

I was never massive fans of Baros, Cisse and Bellamy but all three would have filled a hole in the squad.
                        Forwards.......

True. Torres actually had some tackling and interception stats from the game, a number in his own box. Overall he appeared to be more involved than Ngog but then e's twice the player so no great surprise.

                              Yeah, or 550.

I think Roy would be wrong to change from a winning team too much, but I doubt Roy rates Ngog too much so I expect if even half fit Joe will start if he's available.
