Werder might not show up and harry might play a 2nd string team.

The phase your looking for is. When we play them, the arsenal and werder games could have taken alot out of them

Clinging to the fact that Spurs haven't played well after CL games so far this season and we have a week to prepare so should be fresher. Would still take a point there though...

I agree with Cole off the bench view. He is coming from hamstring injury and he is not ready to push the ball hard so he may be much more productive if used in last quarter of the game, if need be.

We're going to get completely and utterly spanked.

3-0 or else 4-1 to Spurs.

You can really sense the positivity after the West Ham game

Being serious though, one has to wonder if the same negativity has spread to the players.

I can understand why people are negative and to be honest, i'm nervous of this game already because i know Spurs *could* massacre us. But by the same token, i refuse to believe that we dont stand any chance. Anything could happen and i'm hopeful.

I hope that Harry plays him on their left side, our right. If he played him on their right side, our left, then I would be really worried.

Bale vs Konchesky. That would really be scary. Johnson would at least get some help from Kuyt. Who would help out Konchesky?

Bale's **** on the right. Harry tried him there once or twice, and he was useless.

It was a pretty textbook example of the correct use of the future perfect tense from cream. In substituting 'could' for 'will', the sentence you suggest just changes what cream was saying from describing something as definite (will happen) to merely possible (could happen).
May the thousand eyes checking me for spelling, punctuation and grammar mistakes, find nothing. NOTHING!
                    Anyway...

                    Reina
                    Johnson--Carra--Soto--Aurelio
                    Kuyt--Lucas--Meireles--Maxi
                    Babel--Torres

I agree with cream, Spurs will be tired. We should look to capitalise by playing a high tempo game and pressing high up the pitch. I'd ask Babel to try and busy himself getting between fullback and centre back and the same of Cole when he came on, as opposed to playing 'in the hole', which neither are suited to IMO. Apologies for including Babel in the team. Paucity of options and all that...

                      Totally agree.

The logical side of my brain says we'll sit back and concede possession and get a right spanking 3-0, 4-1 type of thing. However, they'll be tired and Roy's tactics might somehow work.....my heart's telling me we might sneak a win or at least get a battling historical draw

I feel the same way. Spurs were down 2 nothing against Gunners and nobody gave them any chances of coming back and we know what happened.

Realistically it is for Spurs to lose (against us) but I think it will be a closer match that many believe and I am also very hopeful that we can play some decent football and get a good result.

Its in the bag, no worries. Fernando is going to bag a hattrick and we won't concede with Pepe making amazing flying saves through the air. Of course all of this is going to happen at the away supporters end!

Plus his form doesn't warrant him being picked IMO. It may serve as a kick up the arse to him to sit on our bench. He got sick of that at the chavs and if he doesn't improve he can get used to ours as well.
