    I'd start Kyrgiakos anyway.

The likes of Kaboul will be a ****ing handful in the air, from set pieces.

He hasn't let us down in the past. Only doubt will be him handling the pace of Defoe

Has the team sheet leaked out?
        Are we winning?

Roys pre-match comments about 'two attacking teams' remind me of his stance before the Citeh debacle. As does the idea of Ngog and Torres as a front partnership.

Our only hope is that Redknapp goes with his usual 'tradition' midfield 4 with two wingers. That way our essentially 5-3-2 formation will be reasonably well matched - unless we try to force our midfield to look more like a matched up 4-4-2 in which case we really are ****ed. I really worry that is what Roy is planning.

I suspect the front two will be used in tactically similar ways, maximising redundancy in the team and limiting our methods of attack.

I do worry we will end up with a back 8 with Torres and Ngog both trying to work back but both being as ineffective at it as they have been in the past.

We play a narrow 442 so tbh, we shouldn't get out fought in midfield.

The game against City was early in Hodgsons reign and it didn't look like the players knew what they were doing. We have improved quite a bit since then imo.

We've also had a free week so tiredness will not be a problem, as it was against Wigan and Stoke. I think in fairness to Roy the team ran out of steam against those two sides.

I think the games against Spurs, Steau and Villa will tell us how far Liverpool can go this season. If LFC can beat Spurs and Villa, and avoid defeat against Steau we could yet have a good season under Hodgson.

In fairness to Roy? Why didn't he rotate then

Well he did tbh, but the team still looked knackered. The key players were still rested and I think he played as weak a side as he dared against Napoli.

It's a sign of how indifferent I am to football this season whenever it's only this morning I checked the time of the game.

In previous years I would never have people in my fantasy team against us either. I never even thought about taking out Bale for today.

Bale v Johnson isn't going to be pretty viewing for us IMO.

Glen will show why he should be RB today and keep him quiet.

+1 we can only hope Bale leaves the game early with a pulled hamstring
