I was under the impression he grew up as a Bayern fan.

Sad really, Hummels is the sort of player that Rafa could convince to join us a few years ago - and that's not a criticism of Rodgers whatsoever - more in terms of we had a reasonable league title challenge (ish) and regular Champion's League to offer.

I think the Summer after Dalglish's first 6 months, the way we ended the season, the feel-good factor, we could have attracted some top quality players still, much better than what we did that Summer. Wasn't only the money wasted that haunts us but also the opportunity foregone to sign some quality players

More than likely and simply because it was Kenny. If that caretaker had been... let's say... Steve Clarke, people would have been more open to the idea of getting a "proper" manager in and starting the new project last summer.
